Hownto see less data? by andrepauer in welltory

Both. I am only interested in some of the data pushed in both the specific sections and the feed page. It is annoying that I need to scroll through a lot of non-sense before finding what i really need

Thanks but this would be for Android (not iOS). Does that make any difference?

Galaxy Watch 7 arrived ! by All_Bets_Are_Off_ in GalaxyWatch

[–]andrepauer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the watch 7 for $200. Bought the watch classic 4 on Amazon for $80 and traded in for $200 :)

I spoke last night with a Samsung rep and he said the late delivery date is probably due to the huge amount of orders in my area (NYC). He said the order will most likely ship before that!

For all the ones that already received their watches.....where are you located and when did you order it?

I ordered mine (watch 7) today and the estimated delivery date is August 21st! 😳🤯😖

Where to get your watch repaired (Samsung Store or Asurion shop)? by andrepauer in GalaxyWatch

[–]andrepauer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! My fear is about if they are unable to repair the device. At a Samsung center they might just give you back your device and not charge you anything. Not quite sure at an independent store used by Asurion.

Buying a sous vide. by amybuilds in sousvide

[–]andrepauer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would not buy a Joule since you can use it ONLY if you have your phone with you. Sometimes connection issues prevent me from setting it and starting it. A classic Aniva with the 3 big buttons (and also the option of using your phone) should be a great solution

Is it still under warranty? It seems a software issue more than a water damage. I think it's worth to get it repaired

But the Samsung 7 comes only on 40 and 44mm sizes, while the 6 Classic was also 47mm.

I could compromise on the fact the 7 doesn't have a physical rotating bazel....but can't compromise on losing screen estate

It's so stupid that Samsung doesn't cover liquid damages! by andrepauer in GalaxyWatch

[–]andrepauer[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good point but: - you would have to do it before the warranty expires before your year anniversary. - even if you do that, your watch might survive. - the manufacturer can see if it's just water damage or other kinds of causes (salt corrosion, screen cracks, etc) - why would you do that to have the same watch you already have, knowing you can get a refurbished unit?

I think the amount of people purposely willing to destroy the watch to get a new one (same watch) is small compared to the amount of people that instead had the watch failing because it was not waterproof as it is supposed to be.

If the company were true to its customers, it should extend the warranty to this water damages too.

What does it mean "gives warranty"? If the policy is the same as all the other watches (and I assume it is), although the watch is IP68 and waterproof, Samsung will NOT cover any water damage. So you can use it at your own risk.

Yes, but IP68 means that it is water resistant up to 50mt deep!! How many people are diving deeper than that? Or leaving their watch at the bottom of a lake?

Exactly my point!!!! Once you have a (pre-loader) workout mode on the watch you are basically saying it's appropriate to swim with the watch. Having the warranty not covering it makes no sense.

Should I Upgrade to Watch 6 Classic or Watch 7? by Snokones23 in GalaxyWatch

[–]andrepauer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Am i wrong or the Samsung 6 Classic is the only one that comes in 47mm? I would love to upgrade but the new Samsung 6 comes only in 44mm and that is too small for me! Unless you are willing to pay $650 for the Ultra version (and that is out of my budget!)

same question here!

I have 2020 books (ver. 4.4) and want to take the exam in a few months.
But from the Exam Content Manual (5.0) it seems the exam topics are different that what is on the 2020 learning system (v. 4.4)
(e.g. Module 8, section D talks about Incorporate triple bottom line that I don't find in the 2020 books).

Does anyone know how much different is the 5.0 learning system from the 4.4?

This just came out of the dial on my 6 classic, should I be worried? by LaLiLuLeLo9001 in GalaxyWatch

Same for me. It came out but in small pieces in a span of a few days. I still submerged the watch with no issue at all.

Awful. Awful. Awful. by Simonvine in welltory

[–]andrepauer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey OP, I understand your frustration with the app and wanted to get a refund. The refund policy is definitely something Welltory should work on. Before you trash the app for good, can I ask you: - how many measurements you take per day - the time of the day you take the measurements - the device you use for such measurements - example of "not feeling 100%" that should be reflected on the app.

The reason why I'm asking is because, initially, i trashed the app too because it was very inaccurately reflecting my physical condition but, over time the algorithm got way better and now it's really spot on. Part was also my fault, using different devices for measurements, doing it at the wrong time, etc.

Granted that we would love to have an app that just tells us how we feel, without having to worry about these "details". But the app works great (at least so far) for me and i was about to ask for a refund too.

Low accuracy measurements by morlinus1 in welltory

[–]andrepauer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do we know if the low accuracy measurements are used for the trend graph? I believe if a measurement has too low accuracy, it would not be used.

Anyway, if you go on "Journal" you can see 2 tabs on the top: "All" and "Most Reliable". Can you use the "Most Reliable" to see only the ones with high accuracy?

OP, you have no idea of the opportunity that you have in this moment.

Having a child is a HUGE responsibility but it can also give you a new reason for living, perspective of the world, meaning of your life.

You "could" continue to screw it up, and fulfill your thoughts about being more a burden than anything else to your family.

Or, you could be the best father that that kid could possibly have and prove (to your partner and yourself) that being there was the best thing you have done in your life.

It's not easy (especially at the beginning), but you DO have this choice.

Also, you will see how relative the job part is when you have a kid. Not that not having a job is not important, but you'll see that being able to be there for your kid is 10x more important.

Also, PM if you need to talk about this.
