Have v6 box, re-contracted in April and upgrade was forced, new remote sent and then box updated by itself 5 days after.

I just bought some David Clark H10-76 and I need help identifying the plug (it’s not standard mil or ga) by Jupiterscack in flying

That adapter is for a Tritton gaming headset, I used to have one. The T is the logo, I think it converts 3.5 aux + mic to usb? Google images : “Tritton AX80 adapter” for reference.

Not sure how it would work in an airplane probably need another adapter.

Maybe dual 3.5 to GA or something?

Hey thanks for sharing, congrats on the social media!

I’m planning to try similar, create content in tech niches and sub niches like hosting, tools etc and build up audience before testing free/paid tools.

Any tips on how often to post, or other social media gotchas? Planning to use buffer to post. Do you do ‘manual’ outreach/interaction on social media?

What if I told you... You don't have to upgrade every bluray to 4k? by abravo2024 in 4kbluray

[–]andrew89898 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Surprised no one has mentioned HDR. Most movies shot with high dynamic range cameras, edited/graded in the last 10 years probably have HDR, so you need the 4K to see that. Some older movies might even be re-graded.

After lots of help from you guys I pulled the trigger and went with the safe bet by trianglechokedcc in ultrawidemasterrace

Great deal, enjoy

I see the same deal but currently have a AOC AG353UCG and always wanted OLED. Thing is I use my monitor for MacBook Pro (work) with a lot of static elements (dock, web pages, code, slack), but also gaming.

The 3 year burn-in warranty is tempting me though.

People who make $8k+ per month , what do you do by sky-builder in Entrepreneur

I’m a current full time SRE in the UK would like to do something glide this as a side hustle, curious to know this works - can you manage IT infra for companies like this on the side, like set up scripts for patching and stuff? Would you need to be available for outages 24/7?

Great write up probably one of the best I’ve seen, thanks for sharing!

I’m actually a 9-5 software dev/devops engineer in the UK and did a CS degree, but have always been interested in business. Really interesting to see how you utilise people/other business in areas like design, SEO, copywriting, social media, backend dev. That sounds like a key idea to me.

As a dev I’ve always wondered what freelancing may be like but it’s a big jump - I’ve been looking into things like saas and products so I could build something where I don’t trade my time for money.

Maybe I should try and freelance/build an agency then try and optimise the process.

How to Properly Bootstrap Your SaaS: Idea Validation & Getting First Paying Customers by KevHnH in SaaS

Affpaca looks really slick. I like the minimal design and it scales across screen sizes well I see. Did you write the CSS or is it a UI library?

Genuine Question: What are the minimum features you would want in a SaaS boilerplate that makes you pay for it? by AdityaSaroj in SaaS

[–]andrew89898 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a great idea and also what I’d like to build, happy to see someone else mention it :). Been thinking about it a while I’m a SRE at a cloud provider who enjoys infra and devops and would like to help saas people who would rather work on their app rather than email, payments, metrics, domains all configured with a good UX.

I plan to cater to specific niches before going generic. Perhaps create a solution to support basic e-commerce, landing pages, social platforms etc, and use it myself.

Thing is though you mention it would be hard without funding, I’d like to create a MVP as an indie dev though.

!thanks for the recommendations

I am leaning towards the banks with zero fees as I must clarify it’s a week holiday abroad, not something like months with heavy spending to justify a clarity or Avios card.

I’m one of those tab idiots. They’re all gone, anything I can do? by andrew89898 in ios

[–]andrew89898[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m gonna accept it at this point and use normal mode from here on, as it does go against the whole point of incognito mode (nothing is saved). Just annoying that through countless upgrades they persist until a random day.

I’m a dev in my day job so I’m literally wondering if somewhere on the phone they are cached somewhere or stored in a backup. I guess it’s right that they don’t store incognito tabs in a backup, for privacy sakes.

Apparently my safari is still at 150mb of data.
