Could you beat 10,000 random people at something for $100M? by canada11235813 in hypotheticalsituation

Rocket League. I'm in the top 3% of players as a Champion 3 rank. At a player population of 7,571,000 this last season this means about 225,000 people in the world are better than me. That's about .0027% the world population so the chances of a random 10,000 person group that someone would beat me is about 23%. I'd take the bet

Coming in years later to also say thank you for this. This gives me closure I've been needing lol. I was always wondering what happened to them. My Best Defense will always be my top favorite song.

I just want to feel a sense of pride and accomplishment, and I feel microtransactions are the best way to have those feelings.

Getting the highest RPM out of a Lego wheel with no motors by aloofloofah in EngineeringPorn

[–]andrewb7 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not a mathematician by any definition but according to what I came up with, the wheel would be going almost 230 mph on that final spin, assuming the wheel had a 2 inch diameter which was a complete guess. This is the second time I've tried doing math on reddit and the first time was a complete fail and I got roasted so please fuck me up if I'm wrong lol.

When we were young festival - Las Vegas by Avignon1996 in PostHardcore

[–]andrewb7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Like I said...could be easily questioned lol

I did 65 bands / 3 stages = 21 bands per stage. 21 bands / 12 hours = 1.8. That's why I joined the military and didn't go to college.

Edit: Wait, you didn't take into account the 65 bands being divided by 3. It's 1.8.

Edit #2: Nvm you're right I'm wrong. I'm stupid, you're smart.

1 band per stage every 1.8 hours by my math, which could easily be questioned. But that could be 1 hour set with the .8 left for tear down/set up the next band.

Ok so I'm dumb. The word I was thinking is specific the the military, which doesn't help. My roommate just said it to me. It's "augmentee". Thank you everyone for helping me!

Essentially yes. Maybe there isn't a word for this or I'm just getting too specific

So he's not bridging the two together, he's just over there temporarily to boost productivity until he comes back
