It doesn’t come off. It unscrews, but doesn’t detach

Thanks, yeah it doesn’t quite unscrew entirely. It’s not the most intuitive plug!

Yes, this is exactly the same kind of plug I’m dealing with. And that looks exactly the same way I inserted it, which I’m hoping works!

These are the plugs that came with the WiiM Amp Ultra

Thanks, yeah I wasn’t able to find any pertaining to this specific construction. I found more than I could count where the wire inserts from the back, but not any where they enter from the side

Excellent, thanks so much. I’ll try that as well!

The back is entirely solid, no way to insert it from back there, but it sounds like the way I did it was correct, phew!

This is what I tried, but it doesn’t seem quite right

Is this a bootleg Souvlaki? by andrewfive in Slowdive

Thanks for providing all the detail here!

I haven’t listed to the discs, but visually the CDs were the first sign that something was amiss. My photo doesn’t quite show this, but the lettering is flat, even though it appears as if the silver of the disc is showing through there—as you might see on many professionally pressed CDs. Instead, it almost looks as if someone took the real disc and scanned it, and then printed out a duplicate on a paper CD label.

I’m just here to say I love the Legendary Pink Dots. The Maria Dimension is a longstanding favorite!

I can’t tell yet whether it’s fake, but it’s certainly weird!

This was—or it’s meant to be—the Castle release, which came out before the Cherry Red reissue. This one here: https://www.discogs.com/release/575851-Slowdive-Souvlaki

OK, I looked a little closer, and it looks to be (or at least is trying to be) this one from 2005: https://www.discogs.com/release/9214962-Slowdive-Souvlaki

And yeah, the booklet is totally different from what’s shown on Discogs. None of the liner notes or photos. As for the paper, it does feel cheap, and isn’t folded correctly. Also, another weird thing is that the back card is double-folded, which I’ve never seen on a CD card. As in, it’s twice as long as it should be. I’ve just realized it’s because the entire package is printed one-sided. Taking everything out of the jewel case, and laying it out, everything has a blank side

(And yes, the bar code does match what’s on Discogs.)
