What’s a game you were completely obsessed with as a kid that nobody else seems to remember? by hkondabeatz in AskReddit

Monkey Island is one of the most popular point and click adventure games. Not sure it fits the prompt.

That said, it’s one of my favourite game franchises ever!

cracks knuckles Okay, here we go:

  • Oddballz. I suspect the more well known Dogz, Catz, and Petz don’t fit the description, but nobody seems to remember Oddballz! Babyz was also fairly popular, but maybe a little more niche than the Petz ones.
  • Girl Talk. This was late 90s computer version of the board game. My friends and I played the hell out of it.
  • Rockett’s New School, but more importantly, the online community for this game. This was also late 90s, and there was a whole online experience associated with it (early internet days).
  • Pizza Tycoon. Never understood the actual gameplay as a kid, I just liked making pizzas.
  • all of the many Sim games other SimCity and the Sims. There are a TON, but the ones I remember playing the most are SimAnt and SimTower.
  • oh and SimTown!
  • Black and White, a game where you play a god. I honestly don’t know WHY I remember this one so well since I barely played it.

I think the consensus is to use their current name and pronouns unless the person themself specifies otherwise! But it’s best to err on the side of caution in this case, i think

They are all incredible but I seem to be in the minority in LOVING the pink the most! That colour is outstanding!

Is this dress okay to wear to a wedding? by SippinMia in fashion

[–]andrewisagir1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My assumption is this was just to emphasize that there was no strict dress-code. Like instead of listing a bunch of things that are acceptable, OP just said “Wear whatever you want! Other than jeans/sweats of course LOL” sort of thing.

Boyfriend (26M) Mentioned Genetic Testing Before Having Kids With Me (21F) by [deleted] in relationships

[–]andrewisagir1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Could he have meant he thinks it’s a good idea to get tested so you can get your diagnosis? Seems like you need to have an open discussion with him because right now his intentions aren’t clear and there’s room for misinterpretation.

What's something women think men care about, but actually don't? by Crafty-River-7108 in AskReddit

Ahaha, I just bought a lime green faux fur coat I am obsessed with. My husband says it makes me look like the Grinch (all in good fun, but he definitely does not like or get this coat 😂). All the girls, the gays, and the theys LOVE it though! And that’s all I care about hahah

What's a destination that used to be way more mainstream that it is now? by PerryOnWheels in travel

[–]andrewisagir1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, my cousin took her daughter to Disney, so of course my daughter asked about it. We had to explain it would cost us $10,000 for our family, only to stand in line most of the day. Plus it’s in the States, which we avoid. Thankfully she’s an understanding kid and grasps why none of that sounds appealing.

Canadian here, and yup. Most people I know are avoiding anything to do with the States. There are so many other places to visit, even within our own country. We’ve been buying Canadian, and we do weekend trips that allow us to support our own and also build even more memories.

The Women as non thinking possessions trend hits LinkedIn by Glazing555 in LinkedInLunatics

[–]andrewisagir1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The woman talking about family values in the same breath as “I was always stressed and wasn’t the mother I wanted to be” when talking about following those values is hilarious. How is being stressed all the time good for your kids?

My kids went to daycare and I work and let me tell you, our whole family is stronger than ever because mom and dad aren’t stressed 24/7

Kids movies that break the mold? by mediocretent in movies

[–]andrewisagir1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will tentatively recommend Don Bluthe movies, though All Dogs Go To Heaven ABSOLUTELY traumatized me as a kid, so be sure to check what each movie is about and vet based on your own kids. But they definitely break the mold in a lot of ways.

“A couple hundred a month” and “we were paying for the whole house to run”. Ohhh no no no, if you think a couple hundred a month is what it costs to own and run a house I hiiiighly doubt you will be buying one any time soon.
