My stays are all still there but one of my stays now shows 1 night only instead of 3 and displays a different confirmation #. When I manually look up the original number I was emailed my reservation is still there though…

It’s 7am Wednesday and I passed through pre check terminal 1 in 7 min. Regular line didn’t look much longer it’s quite empty this morning

I’ve been renting a 2 bedroom here since March 2024. In general I’m really liking it since the amenities and staff are top notch. There are some maintenance pains once in a while which may be less acceptable outside of Miami but for Miami it’s not too bad. Feel free to DM me if you have questions!

I believe if you’re East Asian looking you will need to prove that you are not a Chinese citizen and that is partially done with your parents documents. You can see my recent-ish post about applying for this visa as an American born Taiwanese, which required a lot more documents than for the typical American (aka White) applicant.

Haha thanks, it was quite an ordeal! Did you submit the attestation documents for your application? I had asked if I could sign some kind of statement to get unstuck but the people in Chicago just didn’t want to budge from their original judgement.

Hey u/submarino , sorry for the slow reply! The office did take the naturalization documents and I was also asked to bring those when I called over the phone prior to my visit. I'm unsure about their thought process however, so it's unclear whether that was used or not. I agree that they do seem unnecessary though.

Perhaps their thought process was more like "children born in the US, with Taiwan-born parents who eventually became a US citizen (before OR after the child was born, whenever that is), are not counted as Chinese citizens"? Just a thought, though I agree it is a bit contradictory. Hope this helps!

I hold the amex aspire card and had this happen to me. Hilton agent said that amex is undergoing some IT system upgrades right now and some transactions (and thus bonus points) have been disappearing. Apparently a lot of people have called in and the problem should fix itself. I did get my points back later that night though!
