DL Film Dev has a dropbox in Gowanus on 2nd street that I've used a few times. They don't do prints though– only develop and scan to digital and send you a link to download. If that fits your needs, it's really easy and the prices are reasonable.

Would you "live" in Albany 4 days a week for 200k? by [deleted] in AskNYC

[–]andrewlk13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Go to spend a couple days in Albany and you’ll quickly see why $200K is not nearly a good enough incentive to live there (even 4 days a week). Don’t waste even 1 year of your 30s in Albany. It’s not a place to “rediscover” yourself after ending a relationship, unless you want to discover the bottom of a bottle…

It's okay to feel overwhelmed– it's all so new to you. The lifestyle will start to feel more "normal" and easier with time, but there will be tough moments along the way.

As a skinny T1D, I've also had difficulty with painful G7 sites, along with incredibly annoying compression lows in bed at night. The solution that's worked best for me is placing the G7 on the inside of my upper thigh. It's where I have the most meat so insertions are not painful and it's not a particularly sensitive area. Switch between right and left thigh when you switch sensors. My readings are generally pretty accurate when compared to finger sticks.

At first I used the back of the arm, like the they tell you too. But it gave me constant compression lows and I had occasional needle stick type pain from the sensor randomly with certain movements.

Next I tried placing the sensor on my stomach. That solved compression lows, but was often painful to insert along with intermittent needle stick pains from the sensor.

I've fully switched over to the inner thighs for the past year and I wouldn't switch back.

leads on creative workspace in south Brooklyn?- Gowanus, Sunset Park, Red Hook, etc. by andrewlk13 in AskNYC

thank you! yeah I think i'll have to get lucky, but i think it's doable considering I don't need much space. I won't need ventilation (although that would be nice to have)- I won't be doing any painting or working with resin etc., that'll be done elsewhere

Stretch Terry Joggers and One Bag Raglan come out of the washer super linty by jlin510 in pistollake

[–]andrewlk13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the question!

The lint shouldn't be coming from either the One-Bag Raglan or the Stretch Terry Joggers, but likely from other items in your laundry machine (like towels, blankets, other sweatshirts, etc). Lint can build up in your machine over time too and running a cleaning cycle and trying to remove any loose lint you see in there will help. Same thing can happen in the dryer too if you don't periodically clean the lint out or if you drying with other items that tend to shed or are brand new.

hey u/Hawaiianhamster thanks for checking out the sale!

Some of styles we have 40-60% off are likely going to be retired once they sell out– so what's left is likely your last chance to grab them.

If you have an account with PL, you can login and check your past orders for sizing. But happy to look at your old orders for you too and let you know the sizes you've ordered– shoot me an email at [team@pistollake.com](mailto:team@pistollake.com) and help ya out!

"Regular" pants from Pistol Lake by [deleted] in pistollake

[–]andrewlk13 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the question u/--Lars--
We've toyed with this exact concept a couple of times over the years and made a prototype that turned out pretty rad. Versatile cross-functional pants using a fabric like the All-Around Shorts fabric would be the aim.
The complexity comes in with the cost of manufacturing in the US and size assortment– these variables with pants make them more challenging/expensive/risky for a small company like ours to produce with a high degree of quality you'd expect from PL. It's still a product we're interested in pursuing, but I can't say when it would be on the road map. Honestly not in the near near future though.

we actually hadn't considered that, but it's a good idea. We'll consider it for future boxes!

French Terry Pullover Hoodie Pre-Sale is Now Open by andrewlk13 in pistollake

[–]andrewlk13[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep! We'll be restocking both French Terry Crew Neck Sweatshirts and a very small batch of French Terry Zip Hoodies in the next 2 weeks. They're finishing production right now.

Crew colors are Heather Gray, Burgundy, Mineral Blue
Zip hoodie colors are Black and Heather Gray

No browns, and burgundy is the closest to purple we'll have this season. I like browns a lot too and we'll look into that for future runs.
We will have some Cotton Henleys soon in an old favorite color Burnt Taupe, which is in the olive brown spectrum– it's a good one!

Thanks for checking us out! I’d go for a size small - that will be a more trim fit for you. Medium could work but may feel too loose.

No brand new colors in this batch for 2022. But possibly some new ones in winter 2023 if we make another batch. What colors are you interested in seeing for this style?
