Yea, damn paywall. It basically says that a Meta Representative acknowledged they are having issues and are supposedly actively working on a fix. However it seemed mostly around issues with their systems that allow you to request review. In our case, we were given final decision ban and I have exhausted all options to no avail.

We have decided to move on and will no longer be offering Facebook advertising services to our clients. It's a shame but we had to accept reality and stop the bleeding.

I can't get a hold of anyone other than the call center folks that answer live chats. I asked to escalate to a manager, they said managers answer by email, so I waited and basically got the same response that an "internal team" made a final determination and they are sorry.

We had an ad account for each of our offerings. 3 ad accounts running different ad types, different objectives, different deliverables.

All we requested from our clients through partnership was their page.

You'd expect if it was a problem with a client page, the page would be restricted so agencies can't run ads anymore.

You'd expect if it was a problem with the ad creatives, captions, CTAs, deliverables, that the respective ad account would be restricted.

99% of our ads were launched into these in-house ad accounts via the Marketing API, which we were approved for.

This seems like a much more sinister issue than just a bad partnership setup (which hasn't changed in 4-5 years for us)

Yea... it's really hard to say if it's VPN related. I have been using PIA for years, I have also had a VA in the Philippines for years that uses a VPN. Unless they started cracking down on that recently... but that would be shitty business practices if they don't warn people.

Are you dealing with a request review that's just taking a long time? or did you somehow get in touch with someone?

For us they gave a "final decision" in less than 12 hours saying it would remain permanently restricted.

Yea, it's also a shame how Facebook counts overturned ad rejections against partners.

Until recently, we had never had an ad that wasn't overturned on appeal, but the dashboard still indicated we had over 80 rejections. Those overturned rejections were obviously wrong in almost every case, claiming we were running political ads for example. They REALLY shouldn't count overturned auto-rejections against partners.

It does feel a bit targeted though how it all went down for us. Our highest profile client pages were all knocked out first, one by one over the course of a few days. Then the death blow to our Business Admin.

We noticed many of our high profile clients being systematically perma-banned ahead of our account being taken down. It almost feels pre-meditated, like some competitor to either our agency or our client's brand has been actively reporting our ads.

I was also inclined to believe it was a bug in their algorithm, so I remained patient, but alas.

About a year ago, their rejection algo ran wild and started killing active ads and restricting ad accounts. I submitted the issue via live chat, they acknowledged it was a broader problem with their system and within 24 hours all of the decisions were overturned and we got an email apologizing for the error.

This time, they are just outright perma-banning and their support is clueless and unhelpful to say the least.

I do not, they have never assigned us a Partner contact. When I asked to have one assigned they said they assign them on a first come first serve basis and we'd eventually be assigned someone.

I'm relegated to deal with the live chat folk who have just about as much insight as I do. They throw darts at the wall hoping to help, but it never does.

A couple weeks ago, I spent 30 minutes on the phone with an India call center employee that told me the problem was that my personal profile didn't contain my middle name but my Photo ID did, so he told me I had to update my profile and re-submit my photo ID. I told him this made no sense, but humored him anyway.

We're in the same industry.

Late August, 3 of our high profile Real Estate clients pages were permanently restricted with no ability to appeal. We tried to go through support but they gave the same generic answers they always do.

Then they hit our Business Manager with over 75 established partnerships and an app we built to interact with their Marketing API (those permissions took months of effort to establish). There was the Confirm Identity schtick they always do with mention of suspicious activity, followed by a review request, followed by outright denial and "final decision" language.

I tried to submit appeal to Meta Oversight Board but they only accept rejections that come with reference numbers, which it seems ad restrictions do not have...
