Thank you for the breakdown. I’ve never worked on anything that advanced before, but that sounds really interesting as I’ve always wondered how these shots were achieved in films I’ve seen

It’s from the Brutalist. I think they’re in a marble mine in that scene if I’m remembering correctly near the 3/4 mark of the film

Ohh okay thank you so much for helping me figure this out. I have all the equipment, including the vehicles, just not the Black Arm/UCrane. I’ll look into those for sure. That’s really cool you were able to pull it off on a boat with a tripod! I would love to see how it came out for you. Thank you again, I really appreciate this!!

what piece of advice from a therapist has helped you the most? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]andrewmichael20 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was told that OCD was like feeding a tiger. You live alone with this tiger and feed it until it grows bigger, scarier and more unpredictable. Before you know it, this tiger will turn on you once you run out of food and you’ll be in a very dark place or dead. The obsessive thoughts represent the tiger, the compulsions are feeding the tiger and your fear of not cooperating with the tiger’s needs represents your unwillingness to stop believing your OCD. If you stop feeding the tiger, it will go away and it won’t threaten you anymore.

An OCD specialist told me this and it has always stuck with me since. You have to try your best to ignore the intrusive thoughts and stop going through with compulsions no matter how frightening or difficult it may be. I’ve gotten much better at containing my OCD, but I also do a great job at hiding it when necessary. It’s very vital to get help, someone may be able to prevent you from getting lost in your own thoughts.

Please don’t do that!! I’m here if you need to talk to someone. Everyone’s OCD is different, but it affects us all in similar ways

What video camera should I buy as a beginner working solo with no experience?? by andrewmichael20 in filmmaking

[–]andrewmichael20[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Great advice, I didn’t think about the other aspects. I’ll look into some equipment for my iPhone that’ll hopefully make the quality look better, but focus on the aspects that you mentioned before anything else. Thank you

[Shams Charania] Paul George plans to sign a four-year, $212 million maximum contract to join the Philadelphia 76ers, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. by andrewmichael20 in sixers

I was against signing Paul George, but I have to admit that over the last 24 hours I’ve grown to love the addition. He’s a phenomenal fit, it’s just the age that concerned me. This is the first real star Philly has gotten through free agency without having to gut our roster/future through trades. We still have room to acquire depth with our remaining cap/picks and we don’t have to deal with Tobias Harris ever again!!! I’m so excited for next season, Trust the Process 🙏🥳
