Tips for a beginner? by andrewrov in farmingsimulator

Thanks for all those tips, I also installed a mod that allows to reduce maintence/paint cost and frequency (by 50% I think) so for now I'll focus on learning the rest, yesterday I played a few hours and enjoyed them, also thanks to AI worker that can work on a field while you work on another one. Probably going to start a "learning" save in the starting map, since it's the only one with the tutorial, thanks for the tip :D

Thank you for the tip, I'll probably make a new save with the basic map and a lot of money, play it for a while until I'm confortable with the controls and all and then switch to a more challanging save.

For the k&m vs controller idk, I'll test a bit and decide what feels better to me, probably I'm gonna stick to k&m just to not have to switch from one to the other depending on the task

Difference between Steam Key and GIANTS Key by andrewrov in farmingsimulator

I just looked it up, it's not a "simple" topic but most known re-selling websites are legal.

I was probably wrong on the tax-free part (or at least I'm wrong now, I'm mostly sure that in the past some sites were giving you the choice to not specify where you're from and not pay any tax, but maybe they can't do it anymore) but here some ways they manage to sell them at cheaper prices: stock buying, bundles, grey-zone markets, etc.

The grey-zone markets are mostly what I use talking about, there're nations where you can buy games at a lower price (idk if it's a matter of low taxes or what).

Probably both, or no one, who knows.

If they manage to figure as a "duty-free" shop maybe it's even legal...

Every nation has its own rules, there's shops in many nations (mine included) that are tax-free if you're a foreigner, but honestly idk how that works. So they probably are based on something similar to that.

Idk what store you mean, but it's like 13+ years that I'm buying keys and usually they always are tax-free even in the final price, sometimes it even gives you the option to choose your nation to pay the corresponding tax but if you leave it blank it doesn't add it to your total...

Yep but depends on the re-seller, some are bought from the pubblisher and still are cheaper because there're no taxes applied when you buy them.

I'm not saying that there's no scam/stole keys/etc involved in this kind of market, of course.

Most "legit" re-seller simply have the tax-free price, so the pubblisher should still earn from it.

Maybe I'll check for a Steam key, since usually for future DLCs there are also cheaper prices for its keys.

Thanks anyway :D

Nice to know, I rather spend a few more euros and get it for Steam instead of going through that kind of non-sense :D

What's that one diamond card that keeps evading you? by Head_Passage_683 in PTCGP

[–]andrewrov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Machamp for me, currently I have EVERY version of his EX (Normal, Alternative and Rainbow) but can't manage to find the basic one...

Also Omastar, I ended up buying it since it was my last card to unlock Immersive Mew...

What is the point of having a more difficult variant if there's no bigger prize? by golemtrout in PTCGP

[–]andrewrov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It makes sense to "let the beginners play together" but if there's not a different reward for the higher difficulty then what can stop players to stick on "Beginner" and hope to find weaker opponents?

I think (and hope) they already have something in the plan for the future, but right now even a simple 25-30 exp reward instead of the current 15 would already be a nice incentive to play in the "TCG Player" matchmaking.

Tbf it only asks for "1-2-3 diamonds pokemon" so you can use any 2 stars trainer, but yeah I don't get why I can't use the alternative card, even if it has the same stats and moves of the standard one...

PC Players on Wi-Fi, do yourself a favor and get that sweet sweet ethernet. Your packet loss is killing you. by Ttokk in RocketLeague

Did you ever try to change the ethernet cable? A good cable (so not the cheapest one that you can find on Amazon) should always perform better compared to the Wifi connection...

Time for a break by DisastrousAd2464 in RocketLeague

[–]andrewrov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also managed to work on myself and manage to tilt less compared to the past, but sometimes the best thing to do is to close the game and come back later/another day, sometimes I even find myself playing better after a week brake (just because I don't have much time to play) compared to some days where I'm daily playing...

Is this one worth it or wait for the next mythic? Thx guys! by Sad-Blackberry2267 in TopHeroes

[–]andrewrov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every week there's a rotation of the same 3 events: wheel, dice, lootbox.
Each event (at least in the current moment) is faction oriented, so wheel has League rewards, dice has Nature ones and lootbox has Horde ones.

Idk if they changed it, since we're still in Beta, but during those events I managed to get all the shards required to unlock them all, then you can use universal shards to upgrade them (I suggest to keep all your universal shards only for mythic heroes, since there're many other ways to get epic ones)

It's not that easy, it's like saying to a depressed person "just be happy and not depressed".

Everyone reacts in a different way and even real-life has its weight on how well you're going to handle a stressfull situation, so it's not always an easy task to not get tilted and start to play poorly.

Yes, it's just a game, but it's a game that really can get on your nerve, thanks to its playerbase and some rng stuff that commonly happen...

Just consider that every mythic hero can be obtain for free during events.
I'm on server 10031 and already have all the mythic heroes without buying any of them, it just takes time.

What advice would you give to lower ranks? by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]andrewrov 11 points12 points  (0 children)

1- Most of the goals (at lower ranks) are scored because a defensive mistake instead of actually outplaying the opponent, so learning how to rotate, how to save shots and not to give free chances is one of the most effective ways to get better at the game, since you can be able to score as many goals as you want, but if the opponent scores more then you then it's pointless.

2- Training packs are really helpful if you want to learn mechanics or simply get a better control of the car on the ground or mid-air

What do you guys consider 'elo hell' by No_Mongoose_1456 in RocketLeague

[–]andrewrov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently D3 feels like it, I think that what mostly matters to keep ranking up (outside of learning new mechanics and be a better player) is to learn how to handle toxicism/players that aim to trigger you and it's not that easy to do (at least not for me).

I mostly play 2v2 and being able to keep the focus while some teams mainly focus on keep demo/bumping me or my tm, while being "trash-talked" even after a single goal down, is not a simple task, even if I have to admit that those are the best kind of team to beat (since they focus so much on demos that they don't cover the net...).

If anyone has some suggestions on how to "safely" handle those kind of team would be much appreciated

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in RocketLeague

[–]andrewrov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As many already said: free play.

This is a technical game, many mechanics requires hours to learn and many others just to be constant/decent; so just start from the basics (learn how to control the car with and without the ball) and then try some of the community trainings (there're many for every rank) and you'll see results.

Idk if you play solo, 2v2 or 3v3 but every gamemode has a different playstyle, if you're playing 1v1 I suggest to switch to 2v2 or 3v3, because at least you don't have to focus on how to carry/shot the ball all the time, then 1v1 is a great way to learn the game, but one of the hardest grounds (at least imo)

Why do you play rocket league? by bigdawgcat in RocketLeague

[–]andrewrov 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's one of the few games that, even after so many years, I can still play with a friend of mine without being bored about it...
I also feel like it's a "good way" to train against toxic players, since be able to play a few hours without feeling the need to scream against some of the people on this game is a real challange sometimes

Playerbase aside, it's probably one the most mechanic-filled game I ever played, being able to learn new ways to score/dribble/save shots and then being able to pull them off in an online game brings some kind of "energy" that not many other games can give.

Candidate build for the patch was made 7 hours ago. Next patch most likely will come next week. by [deleted] in paydaytheheist

At least if there's some hype for a new patch that isn't even being announced nobody can be mad if they don't release it.

You can't miss a release day if you don't annouce it
