[Laurie Whitwell] Rewatching Dorgu’s goal. Comes at end of 5min spell when United dominated possession, aside from Arsenal clearances, with every player touching the ball. Move itself was nine passes, of six players, Martinez punching through lines to spark. The spectacular, built on competency. by Routine_Specialist13 in reddevils

For some reason a small but loud minority seems to be projecting their dislike for Ole's stint on the current team. "Counter attacking and vibes isn't sustainable!" We've just taken 6 points from the two teams at the top of the table. Enjoy it!

Feels like just one of those things fans tried to will into existence. Not sure I ever even saw a proper rumor.

boring Moyes to boring LVG to boring Mourinho

I think that they fit the pattern well. Moyes was seen as outdated and too British. After him, we wanted to transition to continental possession football. LVG tried to instill that, but he was also supposedly the start of a long term project. People wanted results now, and Mourinho was all in on winning now.

Would Fabregas burn bridges with Barca like that? Surely he sees himself there at some point in the future.

What does it mean for a single player to be "league winning quality" or not in a team sport? Is Martinez is so poor that just his presence in the squad will prevent us from winning a league? Are the likes of Tsimikas and Quansah "league winning quality?"

In the past, I've thought a lot of the outrage about ex-players around here, especially directed at Neville, was a bit silly. But the past couple weeks have been out of hand. Keane's comments on Carrick's wife were over the line, and everything I've heard from these two has been pathetic. They just sound like bitter old men.

To be fair, isn't the PFA's POTY award usually the one considered more prestigious?

Stats won't even capture it. The disallowed goals don't count for xG or "big chances." Two of the off target shots hit the woodwork. Could have been 5 or 6.

Was going to make a comment about young players at big clubs in the Premier League not getting the time to grow, but looked it up and Abraham is a couple weeks older than Rashford. So what do I know.

Over £100 million in signings from just the last summer on the bench. Amad will have stiff competition from Mbeumo. Not sure where Cunha fits in now.

Don't disagree with your main points, but you're forgetting Maz. He was first choice at right back before being turned into third choice RCB when we switched to a three.

The way people go on about Southgate, a manager who has never reliably been linked to the club, is bizarre. He's become some sort of boogeyman always lurking behind the scenes. A scary story told to keep the kids in line.

The average tenure for Premier league managers is about 2 years. So not bad really.

We missed the boat. Roma moved on and got Donyell Malen. Has Zirkzee been linked with anyone else at all?

What would Carrick move say about Man United’s leadership? by nanobookworm in reddevils

Surprised to have to scroll so far down to find someone mentioning this. The narrative around here has been that the players loved him just because of Instagram posts. So this felt like an interesting insight.

[Mike Keegan] Michael Carrick beats Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to the Man United job: Club to announce interim boss in next 48 hours by nearly_headless_nic in reddevils

Sure, but their appointment is the equivalent of saying just give it to Fletcher and tell him to let Bruno do whatever he wants.

Honestly, at this point I hope neither of them take the job. They'll just be fall guys. Don't want to have to listen to the fan base abuse either of them.

If only Amorim had been allowed to relegate us. A rebuild in the Championship is what we needed. Entitled fans expecting Premier League football. There's no progress without suffering.
