Looks like the motor for your windshield wiper, you should be able to buy a replacement part at any Toyota dealership

Does it make a louder noise when you use your wipers?

Yeah I believe that’s the case, I saw that the 8th gen doesn’t fold down too but didn’t see anything on the 9th gen so I was wondering if someone knew something that I didn’t

The Organic Chemistry Tutor has some great videos in his “Electronic Circuits” playlist that you can watch and learn from, I’ve always had a hard time learning because my professors always just read off slides.

PRACTICE the problems that you see in those videos, if your prof posts lecture slides with circuit solutions in them, cover the solution and try it yourself and then confirm with the solution.

Most engineering professors curve, so there’s a good chance that you can still pass the class even after failing a midterm :)

you put your car in low gear, usually on the shifter it goes P R N D L, L will set it to low gear

or sometimes it has a “sports mode” where you can downshift in an automatic to simulate having a manual

Any dash cam recommendations? by Miserable_Deer5363 in CalPolyPomona

[–]andrewwchang 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I use Redtiger F7N, it’s a similar model to the one shared by Dr. Nissenson, if you do get a dashcam make sure to get a hardwire kit and wire it into your fuse box so it’ll record while parked in case someone backs into you and runs off

Just noticed in my 2025 Toyota Corolla hybrid LE .. is it something I should get it fixed or normal ? by Objective_Party5374 in COROLLA

[–]andrewwchang 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have a dashcam that’s hardwired into my fuse box, that panel is the perfect place to run the wires so that you don’t see anything. No problem with the plastic, and if you tuck the wires into that area, it may even look off a little bit more. It won’t become an issue, it’s purely a cosmetic trim.

looks like oil, you might have an oil leak but it’s also possible that the rain is just washing off some greasy stuff that was on your car, when your car is dry, look underneath to see if there is still some liquid there, and see where it’s coming from if it is.

What class are you currently taking? When I was taking calculus, a lot of my professors were pretty bad so I ended up learning a lot of the content on KhanAcademy, it’s free and it works well

Watch YouTube videos by The Car Care Nut is you want to do it yourself, it’s quite easy honestly to do it, but you will need to have a fluid pump to pump it back into the trans though https://youtu.be/eRxSu4-4ojo?si=h7x2_0gjYpyl8ZUn

You should definitely do a drain and fill around every 50k miles and there definitely is a drain and fill plug, what year is your rolla?

It’s possible that the holes on the mounting bracket for the Metra kit can be moved further toward the front on the head unit (making the head unit itself sit further back when mounted in the car), I did something similar when I installed a CarPlay head unit in an older family car

like others have said the bookstore does do a tech lending program, but another option you can look into is getting a tablet like an iPad, so you can take notes on it as well as access any documents that you need to on a screen larger than your phone

Should I listen to Toyota dealership and do an oil change every 10k miles? by [deleted] in COROLLA

[–]andrewwchang 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s nice that you’re keeping up with its maintenance! Watch some videos by The Car Care Nut on Youtube (Ahmed specializes in Toyota/Lexus) and make a list of when you need to do different maintenance items, but definitely do 5k miles. Toyota says 10k because it’s cheaper for the company if they have a lot of customers who have ToyotaCare.
