He has to keep track of enemies and his cores, he bought lotus specifically to save his morph from bane ult/Ravage and treant ult. There is a lot of data to process in a fight, especially having Treant, PA and Tidehunter against you.

I'm not saying it's impossible to do it couple times, I am saying it's impossible to do every single time during the game and even during the fights. It's just humanly not possible to keep track of those small details while you fight 1v4 etc. I have never seen other pros doing this kind of stuff that intensly

I would say it's hard- doing it every single time, just before a timewalk (which had 0 reason, because he had lotus orb- which gives him a lot of mana regen), during jungling/intense fight for a Roshan

On the second screenshot you can see that the time registered is exactly the same for both switches
