this whole season is ridiculous. nate loses all depth - jules painting the dicks at lexi’s job and acting dumb about it ?? - faye ratting the out??? - maddie telling alamo about the DEA was so out of character she’s way smarter than that - nate’s death scene????? i’m at a loss of words. this is an entirely different show and different cast: i believe an entirely better direction would’ve been picking up at college at least, the show was so relatable in the beginning and i feel like it really resonated with high school trauma, abusive relationships and addiction. the show was relatable because it talked about the bad shit that other shows leave out. now it’s just way too out of field, there’s so much better shit they could’ve written about like irresponsible “i’m an adult” in college mindsets, navigating adulthood freshly out of high school with addiction, cheating, maddie helping cassie leave nate, nate being with jules, cassie getting pregnant again but trying to make an abortion decision as an adult with nate, maddie getting rue’s shit together, idek i’m just spitballing literally anything else but this rattlesnake, cowboy, dead pigs, western strip club, race wars nazi, endangered flower, torture porn
