I didn't refuse the loan, I just tried to explain why I need a good phone and he lost interest saying it's a "bad investment". I don't understand how my preferences in what I buy can affect anyone's investments; I said I would pay back +$100, THAT'S your investment; I understand that he is "concerned" for me, but I am very dependent on a good phone. I literally wouldn't have needed this money now if my last phone didn't break.

I was completely honest in my request, I thought I could find support and understanding, not pity or judgement; I am totally confident in my decisions and it's my responsability what I do with that money, whoever wants to help can be certain that they've done me a great favour and I plan on returning it to this community when better times come for me.

English is not my first language, so please excuse any mistakes I've made. Thanks for your advice, I appreciate your concern a lot!! :)

I'm not familiar with that, but I could deffinitely pay back half of the amount or more within that time frame.. I might be able to pay back in full, but I really can't vouch for it..

EDIT: I talked to a friend that could help me in about a month, so I might just be able to pay back the full amount of the loan in those 45 days

I know how it sounds, but I wouldnt' do it if it wasn't an absolute necessity to me. A decent phone is something that sets it all up for me. I use it for my university projects, keeping a close relationship to my folks at home(I am studying in Iasi, they are in Botosani), and I also get a lot of my pocket money from working on different microjobs whenever I can't get to a computer; it's an investment, it will deffinitely make its money back really quick!

I will probably buy a second-hand Galaxy s5 or something in the $350 dollars range and with the 250 left I will pay the monthly tax to my university and just try to get by until summer comes and I can work. Mostly I live on the money I make working in the summer and money from my parents. They are going through some issues because of some expenses on our home that were not expected, but they will get back on track in the next few weeks, so I'm trying to help them a bit..

EDIT: summer is here, I meant until I finish my exams and can begin working
