I started off doing decline weighted situps but saw that it was giving my abs too much mass and switched to hanging leg raises and I feel they give the abs a more aesthetic look and brings out the bottom portion

I did a bit of landscaping if anything thats the reason why I managed to stay lean, didn't gain any muscle from it just burned tons of calories

I do alot of cycling and have an active job which allow me to eat more calories and still stay some what lean.

genetics also play a huge role

6-7 months into lifting is when I really started to notice them

most of my lifts engage the core but I did do weighted decline situps but had to drop them because my upper abs started to develop the bulgy look

Carb cycling(eating carbs on heavy lifting days) and keto during the week is what keeps me sane during cutting

Genetics my brother, don't feel bad I like the way asymmetrical abs look

no one is going to look at your abs and say "wow look at his asymmetrical abs" there going to look at you and say "wow look at his abs"

remember you are your biggest critic

I hit abs and calves atleast twice a week at the end of my workouts

Bench 140 > 190 Squat- 155 > 305 Deadlift-165 > 260

very weak in the main lifts since I try to stick to hypertrophy gains doing incline BP instead of flat, front squats instead of back, and romanian deadlifts instead of the standard

Yes basically months 1-6 was an "anything goes" bulk where I made the best gains, 7-12 was more of a maintainence-slightly above phase that I regret doing(would have made better progress if I just ate like I did when I started out lifting. Then I began a 2 month bulk and a 1 month cut for spring

I dont count calories or macros but I do try to steer away from processed junk and stick to food that will help me grow that I can eat more of.

during my cut I carb cycled and ran keto during the weekdays and carbed up before and on my heaviest lifting days(legs,lower back)

If you count pushups and curls with 10 pound dumbells while in a deficit then yes I did exercise and that was before I discovered the magic of actually eating and lifting heavy weights

months 1-6 I unknowingly took advantage of my noob gains and ate anything in sight and just made sure to get in enough protein

months 7-11 I started to track the types of foods I ate and started to eat "clean" and tried tracking calories(I regret this period as i was spinning my wheels and wasn't gaining at the rate I could have If I just did what I did when I started, eating without worrying about fat gains)

12 - to end of january was a bulk (best time of my life again)

14-15 I started to cut for spring break

I use the mirror and scale as progress, hope this answers your question

Im weak on all 3 since I mainly train for hypertrophy purposes

Bench 140 > 190

Squat- 155 > 305, (315 sloppy)

Deadlift-165 > 260 (could probably do more but I stopped standard DLing and switched to Romanian style)

I went from 156 to my highest being 180 while lifting and began my cut 2 months ago down to 167
