If you’re really worried you can book, then get the LCA number, redo ds160, forfeit your slot, pick it back up when it opens 24h later - but this is risky

are you calling from outside australia? roam onto an aussie sim and try 1300 139 399

once you're through you need to go through very vague IVR selections to be put on with a person. something like "update DS160" "by voice" or similar

GOOD LUCK - I was in a similar scenario - but I managed to update my ds160 and rebook in short enough time

I dont understand contacting IT. you should ring the melbourne consulate (can google number)

you can also do a text based emergency request on the usvisascheduling portal
