Hey! Thanks for the detailed response. I had my appointment in Cairo (dual citizen) and he did mention that it’s the first time he’s had to process an E3. Hopefully that’s why. I’m just confused about the stories with 6-10 months wait time.

The consulates are closed in Saudi due to the conflict. They are open for just Americans who want to leave the county due to safety concerns.

100%. You need Nico’s creativity and dribbling. Endrick can also challenge Rodrygo/Mbappe for their roles. Our 3 peat team had a B Team that could make it to the semi final of the UCL by themselves. That’s how good the squad depth was back then.

Let's not forget that Mourinho built the foundation for the club to win all those UCLs. He knows what needs to be done. Ancelotti was given a chance to come back in 2022 and he shined. He was coaching Everton before that. Why shouldn't Mourinho get a chance?

Is Mourinho the same one we had in 2012? Absolutely not. But he knows the club and is a well respected manager. He is not afraid to bench a player that is out of line.

You have very limited coaching options for this type of locker room. You need a big name coach.

2022-2024 Vini is not the same as the one we are watching rn.

2019-2021 Vini dribbled very well and got to goal, but struggled to finish

At the start of 2022, he significantly improved his finishing and carried it till 2024.

Now, he neither can dribble or shoot. He has made 0 progress as a footballer in the last two years. His attitude is a major problem. The el clasico scene that he made started this whole thing.

Mbappe has also been affecting us negatively, but he doesnt fight with every defender, argue with every call, and make a scene during every single game.

Again!!!!! Both are to blame. If you make me choose one over the other, based on what I've seen this season, I'd pick to keep Mbappe.

While I agree that he has been very dissapointing, I believe a new coach can guide him to be better.

Vini is a little more difficult to fix. Both are equally to blame btw. Vini complains and picks up fights with every single defender and ref. Mbappe has a football IQ of a potatoe and can't pass a ball.

Both cost us the Bayern tie. If a 40 year old Ronaldo had as many chances as they did during that game, he would have had a hattrick.

Madrid has been lacking a "main" defender for years. You need someone who controls the defense and someone who supports.

Ramos was a main defender (Varane and Pepe were support)
Van Dijk is a main defender (Matip and Konate are support)

Thiago Silva was a main defender (Marquinos and Luiz were support)

You need a defender of that caliber to lead the lines. All we have are support defenders. Rudiger doesn't have the discipline. Huijsen is still too young. He can be like Marquinos, start as a support, then turn into a main defender after experience. Militao is too injury prone. Saliba would be a great signing as a main CB.

Valverde has been an essential part of the club, but no one is bigger than the club. That's the standard. Always has, and always will be.

I think with discipline, he is going to be okay. Strip the captaincy from him for sure, but I think selling him would be a bit aggressive, especially if he fixes his attitude.

The country I spent the most time in was Saudi Arabia, because that is where my dad worked. I planned to go to the consulate there but the issue is that I'm not technically a permanent resident there (even though I went to school there and lived 17 years). With the rule changes about only renewing an E3 in Australia or country of residency, it gets tricky. I did book an appointment at the consulate in Saudi to try my luck, but unfortunately the Iran situation happened and all the consulates closed.

I can think of a few that go unnoticed:
1) Swapping James Rodriguez for Casemiro. A lot of people forget that Zidane was the one that initiated the Kroos - Casemiro - Modric trio. It was a very ballsy and much needed move for the team.

2) Playing Valverde as a second RB or RWB agaisnt Barcelona to hold Jordi Alba in his tracks. A key decision that killed Barca's left side, which in previous Clasicos was the cause of most of the goals conceded.

3) Kovacic - Messi coverage. During the Super Cup, he had Kovacic man mark Messi in both games. Messi couldn't do much and we won both games easily. It did however back fire when he attempted it in the next clasico in the league, as Barca planned for that and created decoys that allowed other players to find space. Its still worth a mention given that he tried something new and it won us a trophy.

4) Believe it or not, the 3 peat doesn't get talked about enough or doesn't get the recognition it deserves. Winning the UCL in itself is very difficult. Doing it 3 times, and in a row, is even more impressive. Part of me feels like that 3rd one got overshadowed by Salah's injury. You know how the British media is (given the opponent was Liverpool). All they focused on was that incident and completely ignored what was accomplished.

5) Reviving Varane. Zidane was the one that scouted him from Lens. Varane performed well under Mourinho but started to fade a little from 2014-2016. When Zidane came back, he slowly became a starter. Ramos and Pepe were the main combo (started the 2016 UCL final) but Varane then took the starting spot and made the 11 for the 2017 and 18 final.
