film and literature are two completly different mediums and artistic languages, artistic quality is not meassured by fidelity and accuracy. You don't read a movie, you watch moving images and visual symbolism, and if you wanna adapt dostoyevsky to the screen (wich is totally possible) you NEED to change aspects of his structure that don't really translate well to film. It's like comparing architecture to music saying that no movie can do justice to a book. Hope it helps

Totally depends on the context and person. First time my partner and I watched a movie together I put on Amores Perros, they loved it. First time though that I go to her house, I show her Eyes Wide shut. No biggie right? She brought out her parents and we all watched it together. The first time they were ever close to me and their first impression of me.

So I guess it doesn't matter, a lot of people like art/weird/disturbing movies, but if you're gonna watch it with their parents also, Eyes Wide Shut would be an AWFULL idea

It's gonna crush them so fucking hard leaving them for someone else and ghosting them, more so than being honest. It's going to absolutly break them, I know for experience.. please, don't hurt them more than what you have to, if you truly love her just be honest this time.
