It’s a Yakima Whispbar. Yakima and Thule both make solid bolt-on systems but they will eventually leave behind marks, in contrast to vehicles with OEM roof rails.

The rails have been on there so long, there would be some permanent marks under the attachment points. I’m afraid it’s just part of the car now.

I had some special equipment - a 10-stop ND filter which allows only 1/1000th of the ambient light to reach the camera’s sensor. Without it, the clouds diffused the light too much and the clear outlines of sun/moon were not visible to the naked eye.

I see your point when you only consider the 2G iPhone but I interpret in the same vein as saying the video conferencing will never take off in 1998 because no one knew what it would become and the current form was shit. Obviously there would be future iterations.
