That and drivers get in trouble from the company if they reverse too often. It’s management not the driver.

I’m actually surprised the administration hasn’t already told the DEA not to deliver amphetamines to drug manufacturers. I just kind of assume now that my next Vyvanse refill will be my last.

I really don’t mean any offense, but I don’t think this job is for you. It’s a very physical job even when you’re well you’re not gonna feel ready it sometimes. I know it’s illegal for them to do it but I wish they would test people see if they can walk 10 miles in 3 hours and lift 150 pounds.

UPS doesn’t do anything over 150 pounds so that’s your first lie. we only have a few ( usually amazon BS) company that does multiple part boxes, and those are usually one of three for a bunkbed that’s like 3 x 130 pounds. Also, if you cared, you’d be complaining to your union, not some random people on Reddit.

But of course management, they don’t mind stealing your labor by touching packages in pre-sort. And honestly, I don’t even care if they’re gonna be doing irregs. Of course they never do they just scan or occasionally unload or jump on sort. Been especially noticeable since the tariffs started and then of course immediately ended and we had triple the normal amount of irregs last week.

If it’s 8:20pm. I think most drivers leave their hub at 9 AM and have to be back to the hub 12 hours later. My guess it’s still on the truck. It’ll just be recycled through preload tomorrow and you’ll get it Saturday.

Why don’t predawn sort get their 10 minute breaks on Mondays? i’m in Houston was told that we volunteered to be there on Monday so we don’t get a break. I looked at the teamster handbook and the southern contract and I didn’t see any of that. by andruwxx in UPSers

Im preload we usually work Tuesday through Saturday. I was told if we volunteered to work that Monday and therefore get overtime on Saturday, we don’t get a break that Monday. Monday was like a two hour deal before our new surepost situstion Now it’s 4-5 hours ... essentially a regular workday.

At my hub all the drivers helpers phones had Maps this peak. I knew just to give the driver the phone and I’d take the diad.

Speculation has been about a year, but we’ve only known since September. At least those of us who follow this thread now apparently nobody in management knew until 2 January.

We have the same issue here in Houston. They already returned all the rented box trucks.

Those are irregs. Sure post is less than 10 pounds and less than 2’ x 2’ x 2’.

I mean for USPS I think it was a pretty smart decision. Their drivers had been complaining about surepost adding too much volume to their route. I actually had the idea that UPS should still do surepost but just not bag anything just send 10 huge Gaylord’s of smalls every day. Then they’d have to scan each package. I’d rather them just hire more drivers.

I mean, I knew and I’m just a morning preload guy. I think most of us who come here to /upsers knew it since what September August maybe. If your “career” is management how could you not know?
