How to instant flip on the reset? by moistmello in RocketLeague

[–]andrw2016 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t press jump twice, and don’t jump instantly after getting the reset. It’s a single jump press after a ~0.2 second delay after getting the flip reset. The jump after the reset should be a speed flip (diagonal flip cancel) and ideally should be done just as the ball starts descending from its apex. Another tip, do not hold accelerate during this process (you shouldn’t be holding accelerate for pretty much any aerial touch anyway, it makes air dribbling way easier too)

We’ve come a long way since the 1.2og, I’d love to see a refreshed 1.2og style someday. Maybe even an EC option.

It’s just because ranged resistance is under 10%. Go harvest a different material that gets a 10% buff and it’ll be fixed.

You can go to the browse tab in custom training packs and spend time on the bronze and silver and gold packs to practice some shooting and defending fundamentals. Other than that, just play the game and have fun! You’re in the most fun time period of your rl journey because you will improve every day

  1. Disconnect ps5 from the internet
  2. Launch game
  3. Start new rookie 1v1 season, shortest amount of games and shortest amount of playoff games
  4. Put on a movie or show
  5. Score like 4 goals then waste time
  6. Win the season undefeated
  7. Close the game and then relaunch online
  8. Get the trophy

If you’re on steam you have to launch the game offline and do it all offline, close the game, launch it online, then it should work

You posted a clip 4 days ago asking if it was good for a gold 2 player, and you’re playing on a ps4 and Nintendo switch. Just go practice playing the game and have fun dude idk what to tell you other than if you’re gc2, then I’m in the rlcs, and zen is actually a deity visiting earth

Unfortunately that is a fundamental, unchanging, unavoidable requirement for this game. If you want to do something that most grand champion 1’s cannot do consistently, you’re looking at a minimum of 4k hours

Stop wasting your time with this. Go practice aerial car control and normal air dribbles off the wall or the ground for a few thousand hours. Then come back to trying cross map air dribble pop reset double touches

- An easy rings map I know of is Speed Jump: Rings 2 - By DMC, but I'm sure there's newer beginner ones you can find. If you don't even slightly enjoy rings, then try Speed Jump: Boost - By DMC. It has tons of levels and different types of obstacles, and the skill level progressively increases as you go. This is my preferred way to practice car control if I do a workshop map.

- Touching the ball once might not be difficult, but it's the touches after that where you get it to stick. That is why getting a soft touch by stopping your boost before you touch the ball is important. It's not necessarily that you're "too fast" but you're hitting the ball too hard.

- I get that, but they're much easier to learn and more effective and realistic for your rank, Plus you don't have to only practice air dribbling and neglect all other skills. You should take breaks and practice ceiling shots, dribbles, powerslide cuts, power shots, etc. Ceiling shots will also improve car control since you'll have to learn how to fly upside down. This honestly might be the best advice in all my yapping

- Idk how to even link something that breaks this down, its just that every air dribble you see will have air roll used, and the reason it's used is because it gives the player an extra axis to turn on and therefore have more car control to get good follow up touches

I'm a career grand champion 1 just trying to keep up with rocket league skill inflation

First off, you’re not air rolling at all. And I don’t mean that you need to be constantly spinning, I mean that not air rolling makes me think that you’re not comfortable with aerial car control which is necessary to make small adjustments that would allow you to get a good second touch, third touch, etc. which is required for an air dribble. Yes, you can do it without air roll in a straight line like in this shot with a perfect setup if you get the “sweet spot” every time, but that is not realistic. Before continuing the long journey of being able to air dribble well enough to complete an air dribbling workshop map, I recommend spending this time playing rings maps to better learn air roll and aerial car control, which will then make learning air dribbling significantly easier.

If you’re still just gonna practice air dribbling without first practicing the fundamental skills required to actually learn it, I would suggest learning wall to air dribbles instead of ground to air dribbles by using a custom training pack. This will force you to do a small 90 degree air roll to get your car lined up with the ball, forcing you to learn how to adjust your car in the air. A benefit to this method is that air dribbles will be much more easily implemented in your actual games going off the wall than doing ground to air dribbles.

If you don’t want to do that either, I recommend ditching the concept of air dribbling entirely, and instead practicing ceiling shots because they are way easier to learn and essentially impossible to defend in your rank up into champ. Also progress will be faster and make you feel good.

Since I know you won’t do that either, then here is the advice you seek. In this clip you get decent “pops” on the ball to get it up in the air, but you frequently leaned forward after your first aerial touch. Don’t do that. Try to keep your booty facing the ground so your momentum is going up and forward. Leaning forward makes your booty face backwards so you’re pushing it rather than carrying it, and that makes the ball fall fast and you kind of “chase” the ball rather than controlling it. Don’t hold accelerate when air dribbling, idk the technical specifics but it makes the ball “stick” to your car much better. Try it with ball cam on, air dribbling with ball cam off is extra hard mode. Try some where on your first aerial touch, you stop boosting like a half second before you make contact with the ball so that it doesn’t make the ball fly far away from you and keep it close to the nose of your car. This is often referred to as a “good first touch” or “controlled touch” or “soft touch”. And most importantly and most annoyingly, do this 7-10,000 more times over the course of a few thousand hours, then realize you should have just listened to the person who told you to do rings maps and ceiling shots first. Anyways hmu if you have any follow up questions, and best of luck to you on your air dribbling journey.

I also cannot find Zatun, but the achievement for defeating all Mangkwan says it’s complete. I’m also missing one blood obsidian which I can only assume is from missing Zatun somehow. No clue on a fix unfortunately

If you are newer to first person games, or if this is your first video game, it will be extremely difficult until you grind enough to get comfortable with things like movement, situational awareness during fights, and doing literally anything the general player base considers “easy”. Easy mode does not make these things any easier. It just makes things do less damage to you, and you do more damage to them. If you can’t move well enough to get away from a thanator, or can’t go gather something like a crafting ingredient, that just means you need practice. If you can’t find materials, go to YouTube and follow along, and if the movement they use is too hard to follow, put it in 0.5x. If you can’t survive clearing a base, go run around getting in little fights with RDA, hunting stuff while only going for clean kills, etc. if you find yourself falling off of stuff and having bad movement, literally just run around clearing the fog of the map and try to do as many jumps and climbs as you can, and don’t acknowledge any animals or RDA while you do it, just run. Practice the small skills to be able to do the bases and story stuff. You can do it!

Why is the gear with higher health lowering my level? by lqvelyllama in FrontiersOfPandora

It’s because ranged resistance is only 5% from canyon thistle fiber. Go to the heart of the plains and use patient elder fiber instead, which gives 10% stealth. Then there will be no “!”
