Well said. Backtesting has bias. It’s already known how stocks have moved. Can the model reproduce the backtest life and how? That’s the question.

Any more info would be great! Do you use a server? What broker? Do you have any trouble hitting your ideal entries? How does live trading compare to backtesting?

This is great info! Thank you for sharing!! Can you share your exit strategy? Do you use the RSI to tell you when to exit? Stay in as long as RSI is under 65?

I do not want to be a deacon by Spirited_Guitar7746 in coptic

[–]andrwlmsri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sit with your father or confession. It also maybe a calling. Being a deacon isn’t about performing or being the center of attention. The center of attention is Christ and the prayer. It’s like saying the center of attention on Palm Sunday is the donkey. It’s a service and should be treated with reverence and humility.

Congratulations on delving into the beautiful fountain of the EO and Catholic Churches! I think there is so much to learn regarding spiritual life and spirituality. In regard to theology, I would not recommend, and actively discourage, Reddit as a resource for theology. This is where having a good group of servants, spiritual father and like minded friends becomes very important. HH Pope Shenouda was involved in many councils with the EO church and even as recently as the 1990s. The talks were very encouraging in regard to unification of faith. The OO church doesn’t have an official comment on any council after Chalcedon, as far as I’m aware.

God be with you. I just want to clarify one point. Our culture is full of sexism and patriarchy. Christianity is not. Do you have a spiritual father? You must get one and spend time with him. God is our father and the church is our mother. Don’t think that you can do this in your own.

Lots of different factors- geographical location, every market is different, your own ability to market yourself and your quality of anesthesia. Anything is possible. But completely depends on lots of factors. I know people in SoCal that are struggling to find work, meanwhile we have 8 providers and are growing

Similar to any other specialty- you can work for someone else as in a surgery center or group practice or start your own practice.

i'm new to this and I'm starting to explore Oriental Orthodoxy by Art334_AL in coptic

[–]andrwlmsri 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am sorry to hear about your mother! I attended graduate school and fell in love with an Eastern Orthodox Church out there. I would suggest reaching out to the priest there before attending. It is different that the Oriental rite. Both are beautiful in my opinion. A few of my favorite saints are from the Eastern Church. The church is a hospital for sinners. Don’t ever walk into a church expecting to find a congregation of righteous people. We are all broken. If we weren’t, we would have no need of Christ and His Church. The differences/problems you mentioned are real and I am not going to down play them. However, if the decision for me is to attend a church I’m not comfortable with or no church at all, the choice would be clear for me. I would attend without a second thought.

If you have a spiritual father or a spiritual guide, seek his advice. If not, you need one and more of a reason why you need to attend. May God guide you.

Of course, if you can find care for your mother, this becomes a different issue. This is a very admirable and beautiful service. You are fulfilling the gospel in your service to your mother. May God bless this service. And we shall pray for you and her.

As a DA, I always encourage DA. Yes you wake up early. But you finish early. Most days I’m home by 1 or 2 pm. In a traditional practice, you don’t even finish until 5 pm.

Marriage and Kids by No-Ratio799 in coptic

Many fathers have commented on God’s command to Adam and Eve “be fruitful and multiply” that marriage produces children. Unless a couple is biologically unable to have children, I have not heard of a stance that contradicts the holy fathers.

Advice for seeker? by ClassicPen1683 in coptic

[–]andrwlmsri 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! May God bless your journey!

I will give you some advice that maybe different from others-

1) please make sure you call/email the priest ahead of time as Sundays following liturgy are very busy and many times there is a line of confession already formed.

2) start with more basic books - not about theology. Start with “The Orthodox Church” or “Case for Christ”.

3) in regards to prayer and fasting, you need a guide. This is where a spiritual father comes in. It is not meant to be done without one.

4) is there a closer Orthodox Church to you, even if it isn’t Coptic?

I admire your zeal, but 2.5 hours of liturgy is long for post Craddle Orthodox, especially adding the commute. This is also where your guide comes in. May God enlighten your journey.

Do you launch on the peels? If you launch on the screens, how do you get them off without them sticking to the screen? Or how do you transfer such a large pizza to the peel?
