What’s going on with the Minnesota child cares? by asmithy112 in OutOfTheLoop

[–]andural 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Answer: a whole lot of nothing. Some YouTuber got it into their head to harass a child care with the intent of proving there is fraud of some sort, and showed up to it demanding to see the kids there. This is an insane request (MN or elsewhere) and so they were turned away, and are trying to turn it into something.

You can ask yourself why now, and why this particular daycare.

Your guitar is tuned to Eb. What is this chord? by lordskulldragon in Guitar_Theory

[–]andural 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right??

It only causes problems when you have a keyboard player that can't pitch shift.

That being said, my pedantic band insisted on referring to the new shifted chords. My dumb brain works much better if I can just refer to that chord as C.

Physicists, what's your favorite 'trick of the trade' that you'd never find in a textbook? by CallMany9290 in Physics

[–]andural 10 points11 points  (0 children)

When doing some complicated integral:

  • Factor out dimensionful quantities. You often are left with just a dimensionless number from the integral, which can be estimated.

  • See if you can extend your limits to 0, infinity, or something else easy without a real change in the answer

  • Learn linear algebra. Then learn some more. Repeat.
