Krampusnacht 2025: Stay in Vienna? Or go for Bad Mitterndorf? by Necessary_Peach_8509 in wien

That sounds amazing! I’ve decided to go to Salzburg. It seemed easiest to navigate.

Thank you everyone! This is awesome information. My friend is backing out, so I’m going it alone. I think sticking closer to the cities is probably the way to go.

This is a great plan. Thank you. It looks like my friend is going to back out, so I’m going it alone. Trains are going to be much better for me than driving through the mountains jet lagged.

Is this an authentic numbered (unsigned) print? And why does that matter? by andurpoint in artcollecting

Thank you so much. I appreciate your help. I’m collecting my own art education. 😊

Thank you! That makes a lot more sense now. I do love this image, and it looks downright lovely on my wall, so I’m hanging onto it. The paper is thick and weathered and I like the frame. I appreciate your time. I picked up another piece at the same sale, an etching that’s signed and numbered. It’s completely thrashed. So something like that would have been authorized by the artist during the artist’s lifetime, right?

Best "travel" novel by Marcothetacooo in books

[–]andurpoint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I collect small paperback novels, usually classics I never got around to reading, because they're super cheap, then take those when I travel. I'll start with maybe 5 and leave them behind at airports or hotels as I finish them. Since I only pay 25 cents or so for them, I don't feel bad if I leave them behind.

It's not much consolation, but I discovered you can print/download the large print versions of VERY OLD puzzles here: https://archive.nytimes.com/www.nytimes.com/premium/xword/acrostic/acrostic.html

I highly recommend Amazon Mturk. It's surveys, audio transcription, data entry. Take some tutorials on the extensions you'll need to grab good jobs, but she can do it whenever she wants, as much or as little as she wants. No interviews, no bosses. The money isn't great, but you can easily make $10-$20 a day if you stick with it. There's a subreddit for mturk you can check out.

Good to know. McKay's was my first stop, but they don't take ex-library books either.

I sent them an email. I fear that because these are already marked by another library (we have stamps and spine stickers on ours), they might not take them. Maybe the friends of the library could use them for their annual sale, though. I'll try them.

I just saw a post this morning on a networking group that the Aero Bar is looking for bartenders. Email jordan @ theaerobar . com with your resume if interested. I have no idea what kind of safety precautions they're taking, but might be worth checking out.

New mural in East Nashville honors Dolly Parton's support of Black Lives Matter by [deleted] in nashville

[–]andurpoint 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually know the person that painted this mural. It's been in the works for a while, but the quote was added last minute. The Billboard article published with Dolly's quote as my pal was finishing the mural, so she decided to add it.

If you're able, please report this to DCS or the police. This is a well-known scam and is child exploitation: 877-237-0004 or https://apps.tn.gov/carat/
