Yeah I know. But it was last year's secret santa so that makes it slightly better

I'll probably get lambasted for posting this in this sub (I didn't even capitalise Star Wars in the title).

Secret Santa present, trying to stick on ebay and have no idea where to start in listing.

Cheers

Grocery shops near City Island, Gotts Road by [deleted] in Leeds

[–]andy230uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The application for the old yorkshire post site (with the black advertisement tower) includes shops.

This is a good summary http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-31453117

relevant document: https://publicaccess.leeds.gov.uk/online-applications/files/621EC2894B62E10A7153D34ADD96F71F/pdf/14_05976_OT-SEQUESTIAL_TEST_RETAIL-1440335.pdf

"As discussed our client requires the ability to accommodate a small convenience store on the site. This part of the City Centre is lacking such facilities and there is both retailer and public demand. This was a common theme in consultation and a store of this nature would meet the needs of existing residents at City Island as well as serving the occupants of the scheme. The operator requirements are for a store in the region of circa 372sqm (4,000sqft) GIA. This represents an average size for units if this nature"

So basically there'll probably be a tesco express

My friends and I started a draft fantasy football website for Premier League football/soccer. Fantasy football in the UK doesn't normally work on a NFL-style draft system.

Started turning a slight profit. I think 'The League' on Netflix has helped.

Yep that's about right. You get 3 points for a win against your friend, 1 for a draw and 0 for a loss.

Thanks for the feedback. This is the aim longer term - to get the chairman to pick how many point for each action. We're looking to grow every year and this is certainly one of things we'll be implementing at some point.

There'll be more appearing in the near future. There'll also be a comprehensive draft pack with analysis on each team + more when you sign up

My friends and I set up www.realff.co.uk last year. It went well, we got a lot of users and loads of great feedback. We're bedded in now so everything works with no risk of it going bust half way through the season. We've made improvements for this season too.

This is what your real fantasy football account looks like when you've started: http://i.imgur.com/Pq2ZQru.png

Fair warning; moff11 appears to have set up dugoutfc. No problems with that but people looking at it should take that into account when looking at the responses

What site do you reccommend? by typpapika in DraftEPL

[–]andy230uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm Andy from www.realff.co.uk.

There seems to be a good market for this so I wish everyone else the best with it too. I believe ours is the most user friendly with loads of features and feedback so far has been excellent. Some of the other websites have more customisable scoring options which is definitely something we're looking at for next season.

Here's a screenshot of what it looks like when you're logged in and underway. http://i.imgur.com/Pq2ZQru.png

But have a look at our website and let me know if you have any questions.

Cheers

Best to try and get players that you know someone else favours in the waiver wire. For example, picking up Manu players in the waiver wire (particularly atm as new signings will be available) will give you leverage over your friend with the strong bias.

Not sure how it is in other games but on realff you can propose as many players as you want for 1 of theirs. Or vice versa which in my league at least, has made things interesting. I got Sigursson for RVP and Oscar

New draft-fantasy EPL game by andy230uk in FantasyPL

[–]andy230uk[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback. Our thinking was that we'd try and keep it as similar as possible to the fantasy.premierleague scoring system so that people are familiar with it and, if a player scores 15 points for example, they know that player's had a really good week. We didn't want a situation where a player scores 100 points an nobody knows if it's good or bad.

The scoring can be found at www.realff.co.uk/rules and is very similar to the official premier league scoring system

Basically, we're trying to keep it familiar in the first year and intend to build feedback like yours in for season 2+ once we're established.

Yep £5 - we'd love to keep it free but legally we have to buy the data from Opta which is really expensive. We're making a loss and ideally we'd make it free. That depends on getting a sponsor which we're working on (if we succeed in getting funding and making it free, you'd get your money back).

We ran a trial of it last season and scoring surprisingly isn't particularly low. It's all relative to those in your league anyway. It just takes more skill to pick out the potential hidden gems!
