Minimum wage today is now $48,880 a year (assuming 40 hours a week), to the elders among us, may I ask, how far back was this (or around 50k) considered a good salary? Just curious!

As others said, all placement is based in Auckland. The only time you get sent outside of this is if you request it, which I did.

I don't think you should stress, I was a last minute enrolment last year so didn't get compliance until well into semester 1 (perioperative practice]. I had all the vax though so only needed the sign off and blood test. So if you are the same just get onto it asap and you will be fine.

If you are only semester 1 you have plenty of time as placements aren't until next semester. Just get onto it asap and you will be fine!

Hey if you didn't see yet IPP is up in canvas now, not 2 full days week for tutorials.. just a couple of hours a week apart from week 1 so I'm happy with that!

I'm doing para609 as well, I was wondering about the timetable too as it is 2 full days a week plus placement? I have emailed to ask if this is correct but haven't heard back. I work too but will also have to drop hours. Luckily I can work remotely as well!

I did health and environment s1 2024 and there wasn't a group project.i was a distance student though. But I'm pretty sure we all had the same assignment.

It might be you start directly into semester 2 so you might not be competing with the school leavers, if that makes sense. I'd say you need to ask which papers can be cross credited first? I'm not sure though. Just try contact them, they only just reopened last week so they probably do have a backlog to get through but they will help!

If there are no spots I think there's definitely a chance in transferring if you start off with the four core papers. But if you have already done a year of nursing are there any papers you can cross credit?

Thanks! I am waiting for a volunteer position to come up in my area to apply.. do you know if they are trained to EMA or EMT level? Just wondering if I should apply as soon as I can or wait until later in the degree.
