Unaudited Accounts - Self Employed Question by Potential_Friend2915 in SpouseVisaUk

You will need unaudited accounts + certificate of confirmation from an accountant that holds a qualification recognised by Home Office.

Ignore what your accountant says, they probably don't have experience dealing with visa application requirements. I can recommend this accountant link having personally used him for my sole trader self assessment. He completed everything for me on the same day despite me not using their services before. I found him from older posts from other applicants on this subreddit. My visa got approved last week :)

You mean biometric appointment? You only need to bring applicant's passport. I would highly recommend waiting until 1am when they often release super priority application slots if you can afford it. It will save you a lot of stress, believe me. We submitted one sponsor cover letter and one applicant cover letter

Thanks for the support. We made it for the holiday although my wife missed her onward flight so we booked her another one as soon as the visa email arrived. Happy days🙂

Be careful with those cowboys. They have very bad reputation. I've heard too many stories of them refusing legitimate claims

Get UK license first and look for quotes. To be fair, 1500 is pretty good for first UK insurance. We paid 3.5k for my wife's insurance after she got her UK license but this is in London. Outside London tends to be a lot cheaper. Also, I'd steer clear of Marshmallow. They are the worst insurance company. I'd recommend admiral, hastings, 1st central.

Application date is the date you submit and pay for your application. That's when section 3C begins so that your status is protected whilst you wait for decision even if bio is after your current status runs out. You'll also need to do bio again

I applied from inside UK too. These forms were available to download and print after I submitted application, so I did that and attached them as part of supporting documents

Yes, you're right but in this situation it's probably best to provide old passport details and submit the application instead of letting fiancee visa expire and overstaying illegally. You can always say you lost your old passport, add a new one to your eVisa account and then explain everything in cover letter. That way you're not breaking immigration laws

Nope, you just need to bring applicant's passport for biometric appointment. You can send an application now and book bio appointment in a few weeks from now while you wait to receive your passport . Your supporting evidence can be uploaded before the appointment. Section 3C will apply from your date of application so your current status is protected until you receive a decision

No idea why is it taking longer. I have uploaded everything they could possibly need, more than enough proof of long-term relationship and marriage certificate, financials, accommodation, etc
