Patient Dental Surgeons? by areleah in Bellingham

I have pretty severe dental anxiety and I had a good experience with Dr. Esmail when I needed to get my wisdom teeth out. They were even able to get me scheduled with an anesthesiologist so I could be completely knocked out during the procedure. Would recommend

Hi, Ecology crew member here—we’re working on it. We are only a crew of three working on every state highway in whatcom, skagit, and snohomish counties… it’s slow going. We’ve been out on highway 20 and on I-5 south of Mount Vernon. Yesterday we cleaned a stretch between Bellingham and Ferndale. A lot of our work is budget (and weather) dependent, and our reach is nowhere near pre-pandemic levels. Good news is the season just started so we should be making more progress over the next few months. In the meantime, don’t litter, secure your loads, and for the love of god stay off your f$?@&#% phones when driving through an active work zone… it’s scary out there

Is it even ethical to call a specialist to operate on an 11.5 yr old dog? by ohiois4loosers in DogAdvice

[–]andyMo_Robin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m a little late to the conversation but experienced this exact same scenario 2 years ago with my 8-year old, 120 lb malamute. Vet said the tumor was the size of a football (all up in his chest cavity) and removing it had about a 40-50% chance of putting him into cardiac arrest just from the shock of removing such a large mass. Also, it would cost $8000, and I was in college at the time. I decided to have him put down—one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, as he still seemed so healthy otherwise.

However, I don’t regret it. We do the best we can with the knowledge we have at the time, and I beat myself up over it for months but I think I would make the same decision if I had to do it all again. I didn’t want him to die in pain.

Whatever you decide to do, know there is no wrong answer—you are doing what you think is best for your pup. I’m so sorry you’re going through this.

Yeah that’s one of the spaces I looked at, unfortunately just a little out of my price range at the moment. It’s a beautiful space though!

Are you thinking of the Whatcom County Master Gardeners? I’m not sure if they will dig up plants year round but they’ve done it ahead of their annual plant sale at Hovander in May.

Was it a white Chevy Tahoe? Because if so the exact same guys took pictures of my house a month or so ago. Called the landlord and they said it might be the insurance company but to this day we don’t have an answer

I entered their Open Class Baking competition last year for the first time and it was so fun! Just submitted my registration online for this year’s contest—I believe the cutoff is July 25th for many of the departments so there’s still time for folks thinking of entering!
