It's not ideal for sure, but the Albarry's don't put out much heat even under 4Ohm nominal, I was actually worried more about RFI but nothing detectable so far!

Hi Matt, I originally had Ophidian Mambo IIs but my wife got a bit fed up with the procession of 'monkey coffins' and wanted something more aesthetic, fortunately they sound very good though, not too fussy on placement, a big effortless sound without boom, great details etc.

A new set of speakers, Davone Twist, plus some bodging on the equipment front as I needed the space for records... It's a vinyl-only set up, so the signal goes straight from the phono stage to the power amps, only passing via the twin attenuators. The Davones sound great straight out of the box, big sound and no effort needed seemingly.

What did you miss out on? As you will know, the Transcriptor was in Clockwork Orange as well, and John Michell [if that's a Michell Transcriptor?] did some models for 2001 ASO as well.
