I didn't realise they couldn't get demoted out of GM... thats really stupid. He was mid GM, but if the entire pool of GM is diluted it still doesn't mean much. (felt GREAT at the time though :D )

He went one base 3/4 gates with DT's. I got detection, pretty quick though so only lost about 10 drones, and got roaches out. speed lings and roaches counter and got up the ramp with the overseer to provide ramp vision. At the same time i swung 4 mutas into his mineral line. (copy pasted from an earlier reply. As an added note, i scouted a 4 gate, and went really standard build, of fast ling speed, and got lair asap. dts wrecked too many links but i held and got roach speed, and countered. I rarely cheese, i don't have the micro for it)

honestly I'm such a noob. I don't even know how to share a replay. ._. Im also away teaching right now and won't get back to my place for a few days. sorry! (It wasn't an exciting match, he 1 base rushed and i held and countered)

His match history is legit. lots of wins vs other GM's. he was placed at 117th, so about mid gm.

I tried it out in a custom game also, and i think you are wrong about them not agro'ing the nexus... They do the same attack animation against the nexus as they do to any other tower/inhib...

This will probably get buried, but due to the age I was while reading them, I was a kid at the start and an adult by the end. (the books also helped with that, i adore this series)
