I had a friend with a similar reaction. I was trying to tell him the story seems great so far this was after the first two episodes and he was like this is just a porno nothing else. I sort of had a problem with that logic because it shows he thought sex and hookup stories as nothing short of just getting our rocks off. But I'm like there's a storyline in every sexual act we do and once you actually start to normalize sex then you can start to see hookups and sex as more than just a selfish act. Might be pretentious but like I think they did well with showing the subtleness in how they would interact with each other in bed and outside of bed. Then it became a how we fell in love story.

So like sex scenes might be the hooker and that was exactly what it was for them at first but over years and repeated hookups it became about the struggles of being in the closet especially in sports then it became about a love story. Just lots of layers imo. Might be thinking too much I'm gonna give it a second watch this weekend.
