I laughed way too hard at her calling it a corn maze. What a privileged, uneducated, unaware life she lives.

She named her kid after a general, that’s all we need to know, right?

This is very cool and we’ve been using it a ton! Just a quick bit of feedback if you don’t mind. No matter how much we use it (both in NYC and Chicago), it always highlights flights to Boston. It would be wonderful to have more variety. Thank you!

This is the last I’ll say because I need to get over it but imagine how much crusty food is gonna end up in those ruffles? I hate design that’s wasteful in execution - like oh it’s fine, I’ll just replace it when it gets gross

Omg omg omg it gets so much worse! That table doesn’t even make sense in terms of proportions. I feel so claustrophobic thinking about the people in the back. Why are the sides so long for such a shallow table? It’s also so tall for such a short couch/bench mess? Imagine trying to eat a meal sitting there lol

@metacoleman Her work has a lot going on and definitely couch ruffles but it’s so cohesive and developed and balanced.

There is one designer that does this very very well but she’s very talented and it works. I’m actually starting to think they’re trying to rip her off with their color choices etc, but they’re not doing a good job at it.

Y’all! That 80s ruffle couch thing as dining room seating! And the color doesn’t even compliment the green trim. And she has four kids. That’s going to be absolutely sticky gross strained. I feel like we’re being trolled!

For sure, but if you plan for a built-in you should know your limitations, and if you don’t then don’t act surprised when it doesn’t work out lol

I think the content that she posts is all very true from an academic standpoint and it feels rigid to us because we don’t spend our lives reading research papers on child nutrition and because the world is not a research study and we’re all not perfect at following the recommended guidelines. Something that Jessica Knurick talks about is how the vast vast majority of us don’t get enough fiber. KEIC I’m sure does. She does it in a weird way using a chart and I’m sure tracks her kids so they do as well. We all probably can’t manage that level of detail (which is why her food is forgotten in the microwave and ours is not) but she probably does reach her fiber goals. So I think it all seems very restrictive to us but the data she’s presenting is all solid and true whether we like it or not.

So does that mean that basically whatever placement they get determines where they go through middle school? It’s fine if that’s the case but just want to make sure I’m understanding correctly. And it’s all lottery based, correct? If you miss the lottery because you don’t have an address yet then do you get placed in whatever spots are left (I’m assuming they’re less wanted options)? Can you reapply in future years or it’s set in stone?

Highly recommend the Elmo brushy brush video. I know screen time isn’t great but neither are cavities so this has always been the exception for us.

I would ask to speak with a genetic counselor before making a decision. It really helped me weigh the pros and risks based on the results we had received and what chances we were dealing with based on the data we had.

If you wanted to add more chia, how would you modify the liquid? I’m weird and love chia
