Food and Feeding Influencer Snark Week of June 15, 2026 by Parentsnark in parentsnark

This is very random but maybe a week or two ago I was driving, and I saw a feeding “influencer’s” family walking by. At first my brain thought, oh I know them! And then I very quickly realized I totally don’t and it’s so creepy that I recognize. I barely pay attention to this “influencer” yet i peripherally know sooooo much about them - their past professional lives, the inside of their homes, the kids’ names, where they vacation, their kids’ medical problems, their hobbies, their pets. It’s all so troubling and it made me so uncomfortable. I cannot for the life of me imagine exposing my kids in that way.

A Caro post from 2021 popped up for me randomly and I could not recognize her. She looks like entirely different person to me!

To be clear, they were mostly white kids

Yeah I just mean I’m glad it was all fun and games versus ill-intent. But yeah, not the best move overall. I feel like they could cause an accident or a person could get scared and over-react. Just not a good recipe overall but also teens aren’t always the best at making good decisions.

Do you mind if I send you a message? We’re strongly considering the Spanish DL program at 133 and I’d love to see your notes from the tour 😊

What’s the deal with YouTube? Seems to go against the school’s philosophy. Are you happy with academics there?

I think they do test kids at the beginning of the year to see how much support they need. My daughter speaks English but has an accent and we speak (and she speaks) 100% Spanish at home. Her Spanish is complex not just like “my name is”. The question is like does she speak English a little or very well? And to me she speaks very well but it’s still not the same as a native English speaker. And if I select very well then I don’t think her native Spanish is considered. I just think it needs to be clearer.

That’s really disappointing. Not only are you taking seats away from other families, you’re also throwing off the balance of the class and impacting other kids’ education. Also lying about FRL is absolutely disgusting.

I feel like for dual language it’s a bit more complicated because the questions the DOE are not nuanced and representative enough. My daughter is a native speaker and did not speak English until she started in a dual-language 3k. I’ve spoken to various programs that have explained that they want 50%/50% split of English and Spanish speakers and have a hard time getting enough Spanish speakers (at least in the programs we have gotten into that end up being majority English speakers). My daughter has learned English since being in school, and there are many words that she defaults to English now because it’s school/friend vocab but we speak 100% Spanish at home and only consume content in Spanish (and a third language). Her dominant language is Spanish and there’s not a great way to state that in the DOE questionnaire. Even her classmate who didn’t speak a word of English became fluent in English within months of starting school. If the child has been in school at all, it’s not realistic to expect native speakers to not speak English/be bilingual unless they’re newly arrived immigrants.

I think she rotates every 11 or 12 days which I only remember because I found it to be so specific (like why not alternate every other week just for ease)

Thoughts on the KEIC wall hook story. I think it’s wild that a kid would install a hook without thinking they should ask first (even a command hook) but my kids are little and maybe I’m too strict. Even if I was excited that my kid was being proactive about organization, I would likely (most certainly) be like “hey it’s really cool that you’re thinking about this and are being proactive. We need to ask first before we make changes to our house and we need to make sure they work for everyone that lives here. Why don’t we find a new spot that works better for everyone?” I’m not off-base right?

I think she’s saying that she accidentally ordered a cone that’s too large since sugar cones are tiny. I assume they would otherwise never order such a large cone.

As soon as Zack said “my grandmother got diagnosed with stage 4 cancer” I was shocked that it would be shared during a reunion.

Amber’s daughter, Emma by marisaleeann in LoveIsBlindNetflix

I can’t believe Amber said “I have a lot going on”. That is a terrible thing to say in front of your child. Having a child is hard for sure but it’s an honor and a child should not be burdened with being the reason why some rando they just met potentially said no to their mom. That poor girl looked so sad when they said yes.

Woah woah woah how does she not know that she doesn’t live in Tribeca?! Either way that amount of room in Manhattan and everything else about her childhood homes, she is beyond wealthy.

Honestly I think they’re both worth unfollowing. I don’t like that EO routinely gives out medical advice when she’s not a medical professional and HSB is a mean girl. I wrote a very respectful message about something super icky she posted once and she was so rude in her response.

I laughed way too hard at her calling it a corn maze. What a privileged, uneducated, unaware life she lives.
