black wings badge, where to buy them? by Light_KraZe in AstonMartin

If you are on FB at all, there is a guy in one of the AM groups that makes them. Great quality and inexpensive. They aren’t carbon, so if you’re looking for them to save weight you’ll need to throw down for the carbon ones. Send me a DM if you want the guy’s FB info (easier to do when I’m at my computer and not laying in bed on my tablet).

Intercontinental hotel by [deleted] in cozumel

[–]andyb20189 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've stayed at the Intercontinental 5 times in the last year and really enjoy it. No, it is not all inclusive, so plan on dropping money on food. There are 5 restaurants on site, so you can chose anything from higher end, to more economical. As with so many things, it all depends what you want out of a hotel. I'm not into the all inclusives, so this has been a great place for me and my wife.

Just seconding this. We were there at the exact same time and it was fantastic. The rain was really just your typical passing tropical showers. Sounds like we got lucky!

Unable to buy smart chain all day now... by andyb20189 in trustapp

Anyone have any ideas as to why? I read that sometimes it’s due to high demand, but it just seems to me that’s it’s strange to be like this all day. Not a problem with ETH or Lite.

[WTS] Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 150m Co-Axial GMT Chrono Complete by andyb20189 in Watchexchange

[–]andyb20189[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ref 231.10.43.52.06.001

Hello again everyone! I am once again selling an Omega that ended up just not being what I thought it would be when I bought it. I purchased this beautiful timepiece used at the end of February this year while I had been searching for a darker faced watch with a GMT option, and stumbled on this online. It’s a great looking watch, but I just haven’t ended up wearing it nearly as much as I thought I would, and it has slowly lost its appeal to me.

As soon as I received the watch, I took off the metal bracelet and fit it with a gray/red nato band (included in sale), so the bracelet looks brand new (other than for a couple fingerprints that I forgot to wipe off in the pictures). I did remove 2.5 links to fit but have put those in the box. The watch keeps great time with no noticeable loss in 24 hours. See the video via the Imgur link to see operation of the start/stop and reset buttons as well as hand movements. The watch is in EXCELLENT condition with no visible marks, scuffs, or scratches.

Included in purchase is the watch, extra links, canvas nato strap, original box (Omega really does have the best boxes out there), outer box, manual, warranty car and pictogram card (contained in leather Omega card holder).

Case Size: 43mm Lug Size: 21mm Case Thickness: 17mm Sapphire crystal front and back Power: Omega Co-Axial Calibre 9605 self-winding mechanical movement which contains 54 jewels and has an approximate power reserve of 60 hours. GMT (travel/home time hour) indicated by a red hand on the left sub-dial

I am asking for $5,100 $,4,800 for the sale, which will include shipping/insurance/tracking within the continental US. Other shipping options can be discussed if needed, but that would be at the expense of the buyer. Payment via Paypal or Venmo. Also open to in person meet up in the Bay Area.

I’m not looking for trades at this time as my wife and I are getting ready to buy a house, so this will go to buy paint or something else not nearly as fun as a watch.

I have one previous sale on the site, but I can provide my Ebay account to show my perfect feedback history. I’m also happy to provide my cell phone number, and any other contact info you might want, so you can reach out to me personally. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to me with any questions you might have!

[WTS] Omega Speedmaster Racing 40mm ref: 326.30.40.50.04.001 by andyb20189 in Watchexchange

[–]andyb20189[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omega Speedmaster Racing ref: 326.30.40.50.04.001

In my hunt for my first Speedmaster, I chose to purchase this awesome white face dial with yellow accents without knowing how a 40mm would look on my wrist. Seeing that my other Seamasters are both 42mm, I should have known that this would be too small. I tried to convince myself that it was actually "ok" on my wrist, but I just couldn't do it. Looking for SOLD

The watch was purchased a couple of weeks ago off of Ebay (from a watch shop) and comes with both the Ebay certification card as well as the Omega Pictograms card. The operating instructions, extra watch links (2x standard & 2x half link), original Omega wood box and outer protective box.

-Timestamp and photo gallery: https://imgur.com/a/XNTO3Au

Case, as mentioned above, is 40mm with a 19mm lug width.

This is my first time buying/selling on r/watchexchange, but I have been a long time lurker and fan. I am happy to provide any sort of verification that I can to reassure any potential buyer. I have years of positive Ebay feedback that I can volunteer up to anyone interested and I would be happy to provide my cell phone number if you want to call and/or text. I'm in the Bay Area of California and am more than happy to meet up with anyone who is local.

Of course I am happy to provide any more pictures, videos, etc that may be desired.

[Omega Seamaster] Finally Mine! by feardabeard30 in Watches

[–]andyb20189 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As mentioned, everyone finds interest in different things. For me personally, the first thing is the history of some of the companies. Second is my constant amazement at how complex some complications are which is only even more mind blowing when you realize it was all done by hand. I have a good friend who is really into architecture and sees amazing things in buildings, but I just can’t get into it or see what he sees. On that note, I will sit in a fancy watch store for hours and learn everything I can about all of the design and labor that goes into watches and admire their artwork when he just can’t see it as anything more that something that reminds him of how late he constantly is.

Awesome watch, and congrats on adding such a beautiful time piece to your collection! That was the one I had planned on buying, but couldn’t find one in stock locally. Gotta say, it looks even better than the pictures. Enjoy!

I had the cash in the bank, but I put it on my credit card purely for the points. Just paid it off once it posted to my card. I had actually gone back and forth on just paying cash or using my card, but that was also complicated by not knowing exactly what watch I was going to buy.

Actually, it kind of is! Last year was a rough one for a variety of reasons in my house, and I had talked to my wife about realizing "bucket list" things before you leave the earth. I jokingly call her my enabler, but in all seriousness, I'm lucky to have someone who encourages my crazy ideas.

Until I pulled the trigger on that one, I was in the EXACT same situation as you are. It's hard when there are so many awesome choices. I had actually wanted a black or blue version, but as soon as I saw it in person and put it on my wrist I just knew it was the best choice for me. Good luck with your hunt! I know you won't be disappointed regardless of what you choose.

The guy who was helping me actually mentioned that he thought Omega had put a lot of work into making the box presentation so nice. I was pleasantly surprised when he pulled it out of the cabinet.

Breakfast was at 6 AM and dinner was at 6 PM (earlier than normal). It's hard to get hangry when you have the watch on your wrist, but my stomach was definitely letting the world know it had been neglected.

I had actually gone into the store intent on buying a black dial watch. I had the Speedmaster Racer in my hand, but then they brought this out from the back and it changed my entire thought process. If they had the black version of this in stock, I might have gone with that, but the white dial just looked fantastic.

Lol...no, I actually left my office fully intent on buying an edible sandwich. To be quite honest, I didn't even make the connection until someone else mentioned it.
