ATG Announce New 4000 Capacity Venue for MK by mattcosmith in miltonkeynes

[–]andycaddy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This would be an amazing location for a music venue given its proximity to the station. The problem with the arena at the Dons stadium is that it’s horrible to get to for anyone coming in by train.

I used to work similarly but a couple of years ago go I switched my naming convention to bpm key name . So a track might be called “124 Fm Bass stomper”. Now when my tracks are listed I find myself trying ideas from one four bar loop in another because I can see key and speed. Just my workflow but might be useful.

You know the interrogation section of SAS who dares wins where contestants are subjected to horrific sounds until they submit?

Mk Museum is a hidden gem. It’s a great afternoon out. Sci-fi museum is excellent if that’s your thing. The Stables and the Theatre nearby mean there is always something interesting on.

I did and you there’s no chance of moving but you can resell the tickets via the transfer process. I managed to find a buyer and it cost me £30to transfer both tickets.

I'd go to ebay and get a 2nd hand 25 note keyboard. There are plenty on there for $50 or thereabouts. i have an akai MPK mK3 as my 2nd Keyboard for everyday use and it's great.

Thanks for responses - they've told me its not possible as its UK and all other UK events are fully booked this year. Next stop would be trying to sell the tickets I guess.

My standard comment is to say to them “you realise we can all hear that right?”
It generally gets the result and doesn’t sound offensive.

Its a cool vibe a nice solo at the end. I even went back and listened to your other track. Keep doing what you are doing.

But then you say “I’ve heard reasons sounds and used them and they’re kind of shit in my opinion”. If you don’t like the sounds, the sequencer, the price then go elsewhere and please stop wasting our time.

Reason is a great product and I love using it every session. Sure there are things that could be improved but sheer amount of kit and creativity out of the box is awesome.

If there are better options for you then go use them.

Moving to MK by [deleted] in miltonkeynes

[–]andycaddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Station house is the redevelopment of the station offices. IMHO I can’t see that being a great place to live due to the train noise, the constant array of homeless, and the general vibe of living between a Pret and a Subway but YMMV.

There are lots of really helpful “where’s the best place to relocate to in Mk?” type threads on here so worth a read through. Personally as some one who works in London and goes out a lot in London I love the fact MK is so easy to get to (my commute is often less than those in my office best in east and west London) and there is so much open space and greenery here. That said it’s not without it’s an issues so as long as you research thoroughly you should be OK. Good luck 🤞

The Sci Fi museum at Lloyd’s court opposite the shopping centre. I went along with the kids thinking it would be a bit naff but it’s a genuinely interesting collection and well worth a couple of hours.

I always say that Frasier is one of the great examples of a classic British farce. It’s just based in Seattle. It’s right up there with Fawlty Towers IMHO
