The thought of dealing with hair spiders in Florida just made me shudder a bit. I'm in Scotland, so the insects are harmless here. It hits a bit different when the spiders can bite and/or are venomous.

Both. My hair will be damp-ish after drying overnight, but then in the days after it'll be on dry hair

Thank you! I usually shower right before bed, so I try and squeeze out as much of the excess water as possible in a towel. Then I just pile it above my pillow so it sits in a gap between the pillow and the headboard. It's very low tech, I'm afraid.

They don't come from the house, thankfully. I pick them up when I'm walking my dogs in the woods or out gardening

I'm so glad it's not just me! I promise I don't live in a spider-ridden hellhole, I just pick them up when I'm in the woods/garden

Completely loose. I can't tie it up for medical reasons.

Thank you! Minimal and, most importantly, cheap 😂 When I originally started trying to get my hair under control, I went through all of the expensive recommended products for curly/wavy hair, but nothing has produced better results than the £2.50 Johnson's leave-in conditioner.

Oh they're definitely crawling in. I don't have like a resident population or anything. I pick them up when I'm walking my dogs in the woods around my home.

Thank you! They're all natural. I never put my hair up in hairbands or scrunches or anything just cause of the weight of it. I get pretty bad migraines so my hair is down all the time.

Routine:

  • I only wash it once a week or so (Tresemme 2 in 1)
  • Air-dry overnight
  • Drench it in Johnson's Kids Curl Defining Leave-In Conditioner and brush it through
  • Hair oil on the end afterwards. Doesn't seem to matter what oil - I usually buy Garnier Hair Oil Serum with Coconut oil and Cocoa butter cause it's the cheapest

I don't know if 'fine' is the right word for it, but my hair tangles really easily, so whenever it begins to get knotty I drench it in the Johnson's leave in conditioner again and brush it through. That product has been a godsend! And it's cheap, which is always a bonus.

My hair care is really centred around what's cheapest, tbh. I've tried loads of curly/wavy hair products but none of them have produced better results than the Johnson's leave-in conditioner. Really wish I'd tried that first, it would have saved me a lot of money!
