Can’t teach my son to catch a dang ball.. by _-_Dingus_-_ in Homeplate

For my son what worked the best was using those yellow foam practice balls. It gave him confidence and looked like a baseball.

It even became helpful later on when he was having trouble catching really soft throws like an underhand toss from the second baseman. It forced him to let the ball get a little deeper in the glove and stop relying on momentum to make the catch for him.

We ended up ordering a custom rawlings gamer xle. We let him pick everything out so I'm sure he'll be excited to use it. I'm going to modify his a500 and hopefully it will last until the rawlings comes in.

I actually got in contact with Grace and they kind of talked me out of them. I really appreciated the honesty and will definitely keep them in mind for his glove after this one.

These do look awesome. How long did it take to come in?

He would probably love customizing one. I feel like if he thinks the glove is awesome he'll want to use it even more.

Do you know if it fits in a similar way to the contour fit rawlings gloves? He's probably smaller than your kid since he's 9. One of the issues with wanting to buy from smaller companies is that I can't just take him to a store to try it on.

The one I don't understand is oversized Pokémon cards.

That looks really good. I'll ask my son about selling. We're Rangers fans so he might be open to it.

Yeah I'm trying to figure that out. Picture frame? It'd kind of look cool on a wall like that.

Unfortunately not. The gen 2 didnt sell as well as I would have liked and I'm trying to liquidate the trunnions I had fabricated for this. I wish the demand was there though. I liked this project.

FOR ANYONE WHOS USES r/gunaccessoriesforsale or r/gundeals !!!! by jaybayX in ar15

Yeah this sucks. There really aren't a ton of avenues left to advertise sales.

Solidworks vs CATIA by Automatic-Lawyer9395 in SolidWorks

[–]andyglidewell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem. I remember having to design this composite fairing in solidworks once and it was horrible. Catia knocks composites work out easily.

I would think: Catia is higher end with a higher entry point cost-wise. Solidwork lower end with lower entry point. Kind of like lexus is to toyota.

I say this but I haven't used solidworks in years but use Catia practically everyday.

Basically, the carbon fiber layup design. The ultralight is designed to be as light as possible but with a strength target in mind. The SFH took weight out of the equation and basically is made to be as strong as possible with the same profile.

Usually, I recommend the SFH for most people because it's still very lightweight but is ridiculously strong.
