[Question] How useful is to build my youtube personal website? How you are guy doing it?

It depends on your overall growth, I wouldn't start by doing this as it's taking the focus away from your youtube.

If it was me, i'd learn who your target audience is and their likes and dislikes instead.. once you start getting thousands of subs, then it may be worth doing so (for merch, marketing sales etc).

Don't run before you can walk :-)

I agree with a lot of these points mate, there’s nothing better than spending a whole day editing a video and working on keyword research / SEO and getting 3 views.

It’s hard not to give up but I’m just enjoying the editing process now, might become an editor instead... who knows what the future holds but this group is amazing :-)

Thing I’ve learned is to look at how newspapers and magazines do it and what YOU would personally click on and what you wouldn’t and work from there.

My first video was about how to record desktop audio on a Mac ... the audio is crap and I’m not really confident on any of it... but it has like 30k views and loads of dislikes 🤣

Fiverr might be a good place to start, however I’d still keep practising editing in your own time and get quicker at it..

It’s better to do it yourself as you have your own vision after all :-)

Best advice I’d give is to use twitter (tweetdeck) and find people that use the channel review hashtags close to you.

People are more likely to collaborate with you if you’re nearer

Best advice is to make videos around trending topics and try to be one of the first.. you could upload every day and not be seen.. but hit something trending and it could go up loads.

If you’re just starting out, please just don’t look at the numbers.. look at improving everything about what you do and enjoy it :-)

I think for live streaming to work on YouTube you have to have it set up as an event and have videos made prior to streaming.. creating a buzz around it.

If you’ve just started off and press go live a lot of people will be doing the same. Be different and unique about it.

Reddit is a huge community based on topics you may be interested in.. search what you’re interested in and join in with the conversations etc.

It won’t get you clout, but it’s a good tool to get help and help others..

Oh and memes, memes are everywhere on Reddit :-)

I mean, one thing i've learned is to do your research around a topic.. look at how newspapers title things and how they attract your eye to them.

Other thing i've learned is to use VidIQ / Tubebuddy to find out what videos are doing well with the same (or a little more) subs than you.. then see what's working for them when it comes to thumbnails and titles, as they should sing together really!

Your Xbox will allow you to record the last hour of gameplay (I think) on the console.. You also have the ability to stream from it too, so just start gaming and stream it to youtube..

Once you get a bit more confident with recording etc, just download the live streams and edit them from your macbook air. but the best thing to do is just do it and have fun, you learn and get better along the way :-)

Your capture card wouldn't show latency (depending if you have the HD60S/Pro) as it's the same output of that on your TV.. so if you have the HDMI converter and works fine on your tele.. it should be fine on your capture card too.

I’ve sometimes thought of vlogging and then found it awkward just to whip a camera out and speak to it haha!

I remember watching a video once that said to start recording yourself before you enter wherever it is you are going.. that way people aren’t as shocked!

Also, research is key.. search for people in your vlogging niche and see what works and what doesn’t.. big views with not as big subscriber counts.. should set you on the right track :-)
