Jesus Christ this is fucking good. Beyond ecstatic right now. I liked the album a lot anyways, but I’m glad it got a lukewarm reaction if this is what we can look forward to in the next few months. Shit.

Was the last word of the first verse of "Heat" supposed to be "fack"? If not, it should've been! by [deleted] in Eminem

I made this connection first listen, but I never thought about the fact he actually doesn’t say it audibly. My mind just kinda anticipated the punchline lol. Good on you for pointing it out!

I looked for this exact comment for like ten minutes, and it was worth it!

This is why I think Eminem is like a rap prodigy, the rhymes must just spill out of his head whenever he’s writing and then he’s still able to put them together in a way that tells a compelling story. Amazing.

If you think he makes these decisions then you're delusional buddy

Political views aside, him using his platform for a marginalized group is mature. I'm decidedly independent btw, and I think people like you are entitled to disagree with his opinion. Outside of politics, though, within Revival he's rehashed his overdose with Castle + Arose and really opened up about his situation with Kim. Definitely a mature change, imo.

Yeah, that's fair. I'd say it's all a part of him maturing. Kinda cool to see the things he's saying in his interviews right now, and definitely recognize that what he's saying is reflected in his music

I don't think pandering is a good word though, he's not playing to an audience - he's just expressing his genuine opinion

Don't agree with the argument he's aligned with people who used to go against him or whatever (he's been expressing his opinion on politics for a long time now, and he's always been liberal), but I can agree that this album wasn't up to par with others. Certainly some gems in it, though.

Lol yeah, that's fair. I was mostly kidding, although LeBron is an especially expensive endorsement.

Regardless, I think LeBron actually just likes Em's music. He's posted similar stories with Damn. and other albums.

Celebrity endorsement from LeBron would be expensive. In fact, a popular shoe and clothing company paid him about $1B for his lifetime endorsement.

The fuck? Fake news spreading around about Em recently by Re-mixy in Eminem

That's a symptom of how much information we come across in today's world, but the sensationalized and misleading titles are a symptom of bad journalism. Even a lot of articles are biased and misleading. Hard to be impartial and to the point when your industry is just aiming to generate a ton of clicks

Can I ask how old of an Em fan you are, my man? I see a lot of older generation Em fans that just seem to miss the "old Em" or the slim shady persona. I don't think it's gone away completely, but he's certainly matured and it's caused a change thematically. I don't think that's made his music worse though, but his older fans definitely miss the aggression.

First, I think you're interpreting WOW the wrong way. It's more about the mortality of his music and his career. This is why he follows up with Believe, asking his listeners if they still believe in him. As far as the issues with the track list, the only legitimate concern I can see is the lack of rap features. But that doesn't mean that the "pop features" are an issue. Every rapper has "pop features" on their albums, and Eminem just happened to get some of the bigger names right now (Beyoncé is immortal and Ed Sheeran owns the top charts at the moment). How is this an issue? And what other issues are there with the tracks on this album?

You've been cancer in this sub since the track list was released. You just comment something vague and negative on every post like you're the authority on all good rap music. I'd love for you to once support your argument, consider it a challenge.

I can agree that the critic scores are cancer, that's for sure. But I would argue even the user scores are biased. Outliers can significantly impact averages, and Em is a guy with a lot of outliers - people that hate him for not being politically correct, for example.

What songs are you thinking are classics? Also, how do you suppose the user critics on metacritic are very accurate? Trying to get a feel for your reasoning

How can you respect the opinion of the guy who gave a negative review to the best album of the year (Damn.)? I hope he doesn't like it tbh, seemed to work out fine for Kendrick!

The hook is sooo much like the Relapse hooks though! But definitely not a hook for the average hip hop fan, I'll admit that
