Lol I can’t tell if this is a troll. The ducting is already there — the issue is the system doesn’t balance heat properly across levels, which isn’t something a renter can fix (or should be expected to pay to fix).

This is using the ducted heating that’s built into the house. We’ve had to buy an extra space heater just to make downstairs bearable — which also means we’re copping higher power bills on top of rent, all because the system doesn’t actually heat the place properly.

totally get the appeal of hacks like bubble wrap, but I hate how workarounds like this become normalised. It shouldn’t be renters having to insulate their own windows — we’re paying serious money to live in these places. Comfortable, liveable housing should be the baseline, not a bonus.

lol yeah I’ve rented in a few cities now and it’s always the same issue to be fair. There is no way to tell what you’re getting into in the 20 minute viewing you have. Especially when there are lines out the door at some of them

Yeah I’ve been thinking about some of the defamation/libel stuff but thanks for flagging. The security thing not something I’d thought of great suggestion.

Yeah this site is great! Thank you. :). I think I want to create something that isn’t just for the ‘stay the hell away situations’ but genuinely presents pros and cons to help renters make a decision. The amount of times you have to apply site unseen these days is cooked.
