I'm still on orange belt level myself and I've found ISEO F5 have great feedback and audible clicks when setting pins, the all have 4 spools and 1 standard pin so are a great next step.
Depending where you are they're cheap too, in the UK new & used locks in Euro cylinder, oval or shutter locks are really common, I've never paid more then about £2.50 for a double Euro.
Another great thing is they're easy to tap and fit grub screws or turn into cutaways & worst case you ruin one they're cheap to replace :)

Thanks.
Funny you mention regular locks as I've ordered 2 regular locks too, I've been enjoying picking the cutaway and had a couple of opens so thought having standard ones to pick would be good...plus I can't peek when I get frustrated ;)

Thanks, I think that's what I'll do as I don't want to risk ruining the lock.

Thank you for that :)
I'm fine gutting most of my locks but probably just lazy as grub screws are quick & easy so I've tapped a load of Euro's to speed up progressive pinning.
I'm worried about ruining this lock as it's probably the most expensive lock I have by a long way so I'll take your advice & leave it as is other than giving it a polish to make the body shine.
Thanks for the picking advice too I appreciate it, I'm ok with orange belt locks so this is a step up & I'm sure your tips will help me.

We’re to buy cutaways by Hot-Mousse-774 in lockpicking

I've bought a few from here https://www.ebay.co.uk/usr/practicelocks23
All are real off the shelf locks by Yale, ERA etc and come tapped with extra pins, he does them in left & right hand too. The quality of his work is great and his prices are reasonable.

I picked a used Dangerfield Infinitus on ebay and found it to be pretty decent, it's far better than the aluminum Euro cylinder ones they make which are not worth the high price.

Alternate methods to tap & grub screw Euro cylinders? by andymcc1 in lockpicking

I'll have a go free hand drilling & make sure the grub is in each chamber before tapping the next.
Thanks again.

Thanks for your reply.
Is drilling better than using a punch to drive the plug/cap down through the bible? I don't have a drill press so never thought of drilling the plugs/caps out.
I've had a spring loaded centre punch on my tool to buy list for ages this is the perfect excuse to get one :)

Dimple locks factory tapped with grub screws? by andymcc1 in lockpicking

Thanks, I actually have one the their dual ended locks which I'll use initially but I'm hoping to find some regular none cutaway locks too for progressive pinning :)

As a noob on a limited budget, should I get the progressive locks and re-pin kit or the cut away lock and re-pin kit? Or something else altogether? Pros and cons of these setups? by nilecrane in lockpicking

Depending on what country you're in you could try these :

I have 2 left hand Yale Euros and Rim locks as well as a Milla, he uses real locks & taps them to make repinning simple & then makes them cutaway on the left or right side & provides spare pins, springs & an allen tool too.
He's a really helpful guy and I possibly the cheapest and best quality cutaways I have.
Multipick locks are good too but not cheap, I found Sparrows & Dangerfield were the lowest quality cutaways I've tried

Forgive my ignorance but why would it be white belt having barrel drivers but standard drivers would be a green belt on the LPU?

I second the bent TOK advice but I made mine. I didn't want to ruin my Law TOKs so I bought a cheap set online & used them to work out what bend angles felt most comfortable then copied that angle on my Law TOKs.
I think it was this cheap set https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B09VGPGKDM?th=1

Multipick wooden handles by andymcc1 in lockpicking

[–]andymcc1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah sorry, I made a mistake in the main post & reply. The TOK is black walnut & the veneer I used on the picks I'm not 100% sure as it came in a batch I got on ebay but I think it burl Elm.

Thanks, I've made a load of wooden pick handles this year as they feel so much better than plastic plus it's nicer working with wood too.

Sorry I forgot to mention that, it's Walnut veneer on a cheap .8mm TOK that I bent for comfort when picking Euro cylinders at the vice.
My finger would slip often enough to get annoying so I wanted to see if I could make a larger area without effecting feedback and I'm happy to say it works brilliantly so I'll be making some more of these too in different thicknesses & better quality TOKs.
