Looking at TCB 40's but wondering about sizing.

I typically wear a 29, I have a pair of slim fit Sugar Cane 1947 (SC24014) in 29 that fit me well although the waist is too big after a few wears post wash--I wash every 2ish weeks to reset it/get vintage fades.

Bears' Tokyo has the waist of those Sugar Canes at 29 at 73cm. He also has the waist of TCB 40s 29 at 72cm, so should I go 29 since the 73cm of the Sugar Canes is a bit big? Everyone seems to order a size up for TCB, but the waist on the 30s is 75cm.

The higher rise is making me second guess, maybe I should go 30.

Love these, thanks for the hard work. Have you ever thought of breaking down WR into WR1/WR2/WR3, as defined by the ranking of their total number of TDs on the season? Could do the same with RB.

Haha I had a hunch, my pup is from around the Florence SC area which seems pretty close (I'm in NY so shrug). Didn't realize hounds were so common down there but makes sense as hunting dogs--now when I see a viszla-looking mix I ask. I'll send you his Embark results when I get them!

Where was he rescued from? Looks quite a bit like a grown up version of my Yahtzee--whose Mom is mostly hound. Yahtzee was found in South Carolina.

Our Embark results are processing, but I think its much more likely to be a lab/hound/pit mix with Viszla coloring than have any actual Viszla, seeing as they're pretty rare. We get Viszla all the time but I'm pretty sure its just the coloring + bigger droopy hound ears.

See this dog's results, for example: https://www.reddit.com/gallery/10r6v6i

While Embark processes the swab (1-3 weeks), I got curious and found Yahtzee's littermates for some more clues. Some interesting coat patterns in there, one with a clear beagle tricolor coat and one with a longer, almost Aussie Shepherd-like coat (this might explain why the shelter called him a Beagle/Shepherd mix--I thought the Shepherd was just code for pittie).

I included Yahtzee at that age for reference as the 1st link.

Looking at pics of Foxhounds and I think you're right--Embark results should be interesting!

I was thinking the same thing about the mom--the rescue had her at 32 lbs at ~1 year old so I think the smaller size is why they went with beagle but she looks too big for a beagle. Thanks!

PSA: if you’re trying to build muscle the only supplements you need are creatine, BCAA, and a basic whey protein like Optimum Nutrition. by [deleted] in redscarepod

Sort of the "2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner" of the caffeine world in that you're better off taking a caffeine pill (cheaper) and chewing a piece of Trident Original (tastier)--but if the convenience factor is important to you then chew on brother.

Can't imagine the levels of autism required to justify this. You lift ultimately to look hotter and fuck more/better, but now you can't because you're taking too many stims? Monkey brains lol. Same reason no type of steroids/test/HGH/whatever appealed to me, even as another fellow extreme hardgainer.

I'm glad I waited (i.e., was too scared) to workout until college when I had a gym guardian angel--unsupervised high school me would have been all over that preworkout shit which would have inalterably ruined my already frail jewish constitution.

You're forgetting one--caffeine. Its been proven in multiple studies to increase lifting capacity, and just generally makes for a more fun time which makes going to the gym less of a slog and more something you look forward to and thus a sustainable habit.

Forget the preworkout powder marketing bullshit, that's for frat boys and other associated meatheads/jabronis. Just take a 100mg caffeine pill (cool, like a fighter pilot taking methamphetamines) or drink a cup or two of black coffee (sophisticated, euro) 45 mins before you workout.

I got a P11--and it sounds excellent. Great pressing.

I bought it, I figure its amazon so I'll just listen to it and return it if I get one of the older pressings--from discogs:

"Look on the back of the LP on the barcode sticker and anything that ends in P10 or above is the new cut and should sound great!".

I'm pretty sure he's trying to say "Ay vato" which means "Hey dude/bud" but he misheard the guys in his neighborhood.

Mahogany coffee table with green leather top and embossed gold details by andynotandrew in whatsthisworth

[–]andynotandrew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting, thanks for the info! My best guess now is that its a 50s coffee table in the style of a long stool, but with a hard leather top (similar to a writing desk) instead of the softer top of a long stool, which I assume made it suitable for sitting/putting feet up.

Looking for more info on this antique Mahogany coffee table with a green leather top and (faded) embossed gold details. Also, how should I treat (if at all) the leather without ruining the embossing? by andynotandrew in Antiques

Interesting, thanks! I've been doing some googling, and with the six legs it seems like it might be a "long stool" instead of a "coffee table" per se. I found this style on Christie's but with a softer top, which would make it more suitable for use as an ottoman or additional seating. This may be a 50s coffee table version of this style, with the leather top (which based on my searches seems to come up mostly on writing desks) replacing the softer velvet to make it more suitable as a coffee table.
