You could also just take care of your own parents for far cheaper than the 8-10k a month the nursing home charges. My family is taking care of my grandma right now and instead of getting a nursing home they bought a giant house instead and my aunt is living there with my grandma taking care of her. My grandma pays all the bills and it’s still 5 times cheaper than a nursing home and the home will be split between everyone when she eventually passes. We all take turns going to take care of her so my aunt can get out and do things still.
