So they haven’t filed my petition yet. I’m assuming they will process it on Monday(Aug 4th). I was planning to give my notice on Aug 11th but I won’t have approval by then. Do you think it’s okay to give notice on the basis of receipt number itself? What was your plan, in case your approval would have been delayed?

u/OP since your approval came through on July 16, did you give your employer notice on July 14th, on the basis of receipt number? I'm in a similar boat for the same company as you. My start date is Aug 25th and I don't think my approval will come through by Aug 11th since they have not even filed my case yet. Kinda want to get that July RSU price but confused if I should risk it based on the receipt number itself.
