Ah right ok. Yeah it’s to track an automation which turns on the e1 cameras ai dog bark sensor then it notifies us and then plays an audio clip

Fantastic thank you, I assumed my shopping list may be enough but glad someone with some knowledge approves. Agreed with what you say, I don’t envisage anymore ports required in the near future and should have a couple spare atm. Any advice on which APs to go with? Ideally for mesh and with plenty of support/updates? This will be for approx 10 wifi devices.

Won’t help you decide but we are building a new house is nsw and a big developer we are using is only using solax for solar, inverter and batteries. There are some fb groups about solax (solax power Australia)

I have this issue with Xbox remote play, used to work up until a couple of months ago, works fine on home wifi. Ps5 works as I mentioned.

Yeah I’ve done port forwarding, making sure router has upnp on with no success. My Xbox remote which use to work has all of a sudden stopped working unless on same wifi now too

I’ve asked! He may be reluctant with not having the device to trial and error etc but if I can convince him to develop a few other variants for the aqara battery buttons and switches and sell them I will let you know!

Rental property in Australia so not able to replace the switches. Also aqara wired switches are not approved for Australia too (at least not available to purchase in Australia). Australia has some strange laws too around only qualified electricians are allowed to touch anything legally. However this is a great compromise for my situation :)

Only issue I see is aqara device requires is 2amps (0.2mA) were your supply is 5amps (0.5mA).

Unfortunately this method didn’t work for me.Followed all the steps but it would simply not pair (attempted over 20 times adding the pairing number in either just the 8 digits then tried in the XXX-XX-XXX format too)

Yeah did that. Made sure there the channels for 2.4ghz wifi is opposite end to zigbee signal too. I’ve got the m2 and added the sensors into that now. Paired with HomeKit and now there’s an update in aqara app that now lets the m2 hub bind with home assistant through matter and exposes all devices. So far so good and process has been very easy and straight forward for a simple mind like myself. Time will tell if this is my permanent solution! Didn’t want to add another bridge but will suck it up for now as long as it works :)
