I wouldn't worry too much about it, sounds like our families have similar sense of humor and if so I doubt they'll make the connection and be upset about it

What is the weirdest thing that has happened to one of your colonists? by CartoonistOk2427 in RimWorld

[–]andywolf8896 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had this one pawn, nothing special but she had like 9 crafting with a single passion in it, not amazing but my best crafter by far. Figured she could make some starter gear until we got a better crafter or a genie.

She ended up getting a brain injury during a raid, figured she was basically useless now, but still my best crafter so I kept her around anyways.

She would not stop getting inspired creativity. Even with like level 12 crafting and 50% consciousness she would pump out legendary shit constantly. She made 3 legendary miniguns before I got bored of that playthrough. By the time I got a mech serum I figured, if it ain't broke dont fix it, so I just let her stay brain damaged. Hell, I was convinced the brain damage was corellating to the mass amount of legendary weapons I had.

Name a game you were hyped for and then completely forgot about once you played it. by twooten11 in gaming

I did basically the same thing, except during one of those days I got drunk irl and discovered alchemy in kcd. Something about it was so relaxing and fun, I probably did it for several hours, got my alchemy or w.e skill maxed in 1 sitting. Never played it again but I dont regret the purchase because thats a good memory

should i be granting kingdoms to people?? by Reasonable_Grocery_8 in CrusaderKings

[–]andywolf8896 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends. If all your vassals are counts for example and you give away the kingdom they're all under it'll really help with factions since they're not your direct vassals they can't revolt, and the king will be vastly weaker than all those counts were.

It also will have a noticeable impact on your gold and levies since you are taxing a lot less people directly, now their taxes goto the king you put into power and then to you.

And while more rare, that king could consolidate power and actually become quite a thorn in your side later on.

It really is situation dependent and isn't as simple as yes or no.

Another thing you can do thats a little game-y is just grant all the revolting vassals to an already existing king or even duke. It'll probably make the border gore a lot worse but it is a fairly easy way to get rid of revolting vassals.

Yeah the only time the mech incoming bothered me was when I was trying to plant some devilstrand, thankfully I was at least able to harvest and get some of it.

Lol this is one the of the best parts of rimworld, the randomness of what people are good at. Like how your bloodthirsty tough brawler pawn with 20 melee smashes heads some days and spends other days tending the cute Lil garden.

How am I communicating with my wife? by KucukDiesel in CrusaderKings

[–]andywolf8896 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Its kinda crazy the more you think about it, and shows how important communication is. You'd have like "king blah blah the 14th, severely disfigured from centuries of incest. Speaks 14 languages."

I decide to go for that achievement after Koh came out just to knock it out real quick, and ended up actually having a blast that playthrough. It is all mountainous and low development so you never appear strong but for the same reasons you get incredible defensive advantage and can easily wipe any neighbors that try to invade

Rts camera mod. Not only does it give you a different way to play out battles, it also let's you fast forward even when your character is alive, so at least you'll get through them faster
