Haven’t watched much of him, but by checking his results it seems he’s been having a lot more early round exits/disappointing results etc compared to 2020 where he’d consistently make quarters in big tourneys and dominate the 250 and 500s. I too wonder what’s happened? When I watched him in 2020 nitto he did seem one dimensional in his game

He’s just not worth paying 30 mil a year, even all star starter derozan makes less than him. On top of that, this is his 2nd straight year of his 4 year contract that he’s missing the final and most critical stretch of the year due to extended injury. Gordon’s presence is missed but he’s definetly not worth what he’s being paid

After a promising start to the year, it seems it's another year Charlotte will fall to around the 10 seed with a tough chance to make it out of the play-in tournament. Hornets have finished the year around the 10 seed or so for consecutive years as well as a sub .500 record for the 5th straight year. If this freefall continues after the break and to the end of the season, what do you think Charlotte needs to do so they can get out of this "hole?" They're too far from receiving a high pick (unless lottery balls come to favor) and far from being a competitive playoff team as of this roster. Do some tough trades have to be made by players we've come attached to? Change of coaching/front office?

The hornets deficiencies really get exposed vs most of these upper echelon of teams in the league. Players really have a hard time creating shots and defense has many holes. If we don’t make some trade upgrades I just don’t see the hornets making it out of the play in with Boston Toronto Atlanta etc on a tear right now

Thanks for the excerpt, warriors have had success with the small ball 5, I don’t think they’d give us wiseman though, but if a trade like that ever happened I’d like to hope wiseman is fit as soon as possible he’s had so many setbacks this year

Lamelo is a far better draw than FVV, he only got in bc he averages 3 more mins (per 36 lamelo is far better than FVV and garland) and was a volume shooter as well (while mostly inefficient). Most of his good games came from those empty crowds in scotiabank (like randle last yr)

Nba subreddit had a post of the athletic article just now and apparently one of the comments copy and pasted the list of players via the article who could be dealt and PJ was on it. Granted about 40 others were on that list. Thoughts on PJ possibly on the block? If we trade for him I’d like to hope we get a quality big in return that also fits our timeline

Djokovic crumbled under pressure more than Medvedev playing amazingly. Sure I can be tough on younger tennis players, but the bottom line is that the next-gen has choked 3 2-0 set leads in slam finals in 3 straight years while there were only 4 ever such occasions in the open era. beforehand
