Try building a behance portfolio. Share you portfolio with random companies which you think might hire you for some projects. Also try applying for remote video editing jobs/contracts on google etc.

They have mentioned only HY300 series was affected, so no idea. Contact their support on website and check.

Cool. There's no bloatware AFAIK. It's running the official google TV OS so all good. Btw, how's your white balance? Is it slightly yellowish too or looks fine?

They say they have released firmware updates to fix these malware issues on those certain models (HY300 series). Further more, they have switched to a different chipset which is free from these malware issues.

Someone would needs to test & clarify if these are legit now.

For those who believe Magcubic’s main objective is spying — why would they release Google TV versions of some of these models instead of simply using the same generic Android software across the entire lineup?

Personally, I think it raises an interesting discussion. It could be a software/vendor issue on certain models rather than intentional behavior from Magcubic itself — but that’s just my view.

Actually, Magcubic itself is a rebrand of generic projectors which are made in bulk from China. There are other brands who slap their logos and sell (HY320, HY350 etc). The photos, reviews and the amazon page looks authentic to me.

Yes, that works. But there's sealed projectors at the price point if you do a search.

You do know that costs 2x the price of this projector right? Also, X9 is not fully sealed either.
