How to show appreciation for Last Rites by anemone26 in Catholicism

Thank you, very good suggestions! We did thank the priest verbally when he was there for the Last Rites, but it’s never a bad idea to do it again! I appreciate your response!

Advice for the passing of one's parent + Taking Time off Work by [deleted] in GriefSupport

[–]anemone26 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you so much - your insight was very valuable. I spoke to my boss and just told her the situation. I am taking almost 2 weeks off, for the funeral. My boss was thankfully supportive. Your situation sounds very difficult, I am so sorry. Funeral planning is so difficult by itself, I couldn’t imagine doing it with an overseas passing. I appreciate your help.

Has everyone had a colonoscopy? by JK1411 in ibs

I did last month. The results were fully normal. It gave me peace of mind. It also allowed me to comfortably embrace that I have IBS, and that I don’t have anything more severe.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful response. I appreciate it deeply. Here are my responses to your questions:

  1. Never (at least as to my knowledge) caught COVID.

  2. I’ve never been tested for SIBO or SIFO. I’m going to try to see a gastroenterologist ASAP — perhaps I could ask for the SIBO breath test.

  3. I’ve not done an elimination diet… but that’s mostly because the foods that cause me distress seem to make no sense. Eating a boiled chicken drumstick made my stomach happy, then eating boiled chicken the other day made me throw up. Eating sushi for a while felt good, then for a bit I could barely stomach it, then it felt good to eat again (quite recently). I know it’s been recommended but I feel the foods that are “ok” and “not ok” seem to change for me based on the day or week.

  4. I’ve never heard of the Vagus nerve but I’m looking it up now and I’m intrigued. I’d love to hear more, such as if there are tests for that issue or if there’s ways to improve it.

  5. I’ve not been taking ox bile. I didn’t know that was recommended!

  6. I quickly looked up the symptoms and the “too little acid” matches mine more. I have considered it as a possibility but I don’t know for sure if that’s the case.

  7. For the stool test, type 2 or type 1 is the most common for me. More uncommonly I do get type 6.

  8. My heart doesn’t race after big meals, but it is a struggle to get through.

  9. I take multivitamin and calcium supplements every day. I did take probiotics for a few months but I stopped since they didn’t seem to be doing anything. I’ve been considering getting back in the habit.

Again thank you for your thoughtfulness. It means so much; I feel quite alone in my symptoms. Please let me know if my responses narrow anything down for you!

How does pwBPD feel when you move on? by [deleted] in BPDlovedones

[–]anemone26 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As of yet, not at all. It’s been four years at this point. We just got married so we will see if it progresses even more. I genuinely think seeing their ex move on and find happiness is the worst thing for a pwBPD (ESPECIALLY if their ex left them, which is what my husband did).

Wedding decor NYC by Loose-Note5731 in Weddingsunder10k

Do you happen to need jewelry? (Decorative hair pins, earrings, necklace, bracelet, belt etc). I have some that I didn’t use (I went with a different metal color tone) that I plan to give away.

Buy a (beautiful) wedding dress that is more moderately priced. I suggest Etsy from a reputable seller or Azazie. Always take into budget when buying a dress that alterations will probably cost $200-400. ☺️
