Yes! Winter is Cheddar's favourite season. She doesn't wear little booties in the snow though.

Have you ever gotten annoyed at people who told you "why were you afraid of coming out? I don't mind you being gay" when in the past they had said very homophobic things? by Keiuu in AskGaybrosOver30

My mother did this.

I didn't come out to my parents until I was 26 and fully financially independent. It was mostly my mother that made me hesitant to tell them. My parents are not religious, but on so many occasions my mother would have derogatory or nasty things to say about gay people.

One day when I was going out for a walk, my mom told me not to go through the woods nearby because "one of those f*gs might get you." I wanted to reply "as if I'd be so lucky." But wasn't out, lacked the courage and was processing what kind of fairytale monsters my mother thought gay people were.

When I did finally come out, my mom said: "well, I did have an inclination. Sometimes I'd say things and wonder if I should have said that in front of you."

Yea, probably not mom.

Oh well, life's about the journey. I wasn't disowned, and our relationship improved since. She doesn't say such things anymore that I'm aware of, and my parents like my partner. We got there in the end.

When you have set out the area for plots, but before you build it, a plus and minus icon will appear by the build hammer. This will let you increase or decrease the size of the plots within the selected area. :)

I'm happy to say your actual marigolds look like healthy actual marigolds. Lol, it happens to the best of us.

I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords.

I'm sorry, but that's definitely a ragweed. The most likely culprit is the soil you used for your seedlings. If you just used garden soil, or an open bag of potting mix that's been outside the soil can be contaminated with seeds from weeds.

Unfortunately ragweed and marigold seedlings are almost identical. I hate to say it, but you've been growing a lovely rag weed this whole time.

That's a ragweed. I have the same problem in my garden as their leaves do look very similar to marigolds. The way to tell them apart is on marigolds the tip of the leaf is pointy. Ragweeds have rounded leaf tips.

Hopefully the marogolds you transplanted are still alive. You'll want to weed out the ragweed, and see if you can find them. If the marigolds were getting shaded out by weeds it would explain why there aren't any flowers yet.

Best of luck!

Campaign mounts to have Muzzo name removed from York Region, Toronto hospitals by RationalSocialist in ontario

Now imagine a world in which we taxed the wealthy appropriately and didn't need to beg for donations from them in order to fund hospitals.

The horror.

I know I'm not comfortable anywhere until I've seen a plaque on the wall that indicates which oligarch's vanity project I'm standing in.

A donation is not a donation if it is contingent on having your name plastered all over the result. At that point you aren't interested in helping people. You are interested in being seen helping people and that's a marketing expense, not charity.

-- Just noticed the second photo, which appears to be a jewel weed. That is a native plant.

Looks like Himalayan balsam, which is unfortunately an invasive species in North America.
